Account Executive @ Listen Labs

tl;dr: we’re hiring AEs. You will work with our CEO/co-founder to grow Listen from $Xm ARR to $XXm ARR+. Ideally, you are a hungry, scrappy, and energetic AE, pumped to bet on a career-defining role at a fast-growing, early-stage startup. Min. 2+ YoE closing deals in a quota-carrying role at a b2b SaaS company, ideally with experience selling into marketing, design or product.

Background

Large language models are becoming powerful reasoning engines, but they're missing a crucial element to be truly useful for businesses: up-to-date information about your company.

Listen has created a product to quickly build this context. You can ask our AI any important business question, and it will:

  1. Find the right people to talk to

  2. Ask them the right questions

  3. Deliver a report with video highlights

For example, you could ask:

  • "How do finance directors handle AI budgets?"

  • "What do Ozempic users think about our new beverage product?"

By collecting this information, we're giving large language models current context about your business. This turns them into something like a strategic thinking partner for your company.

Some vitals about Listen (achieved without anyone on sales):

  1. Hypergrowth: we’re growing like crazy, both in mid-market and also signing large enterprise contracts with firms like Google, Microsoft, Nestlé and P&G.

  2. Our win rate on commercial deals is 83%We have never lost a deal to a competitor. (We occasionally lose deals because a customer does nothing)

  3. Our founders are serial entrepreneurs (previous AI startup exit): The team has backgrounds from Jane Street, Tesla Autopilot, IOI, ICPC, Harvard, Carnegie-Mellon, UC Berkeley. Our CTO reported directly to Elon Musk at Tesla.

  4. Our market is gigantic: we have proven the ability to sign big six figure deals (biggest one has >$200k annual value) with household names like Google and Microsoft, but we also win the hottest mid-market firms like Anthropic and Canva.

  5. The product is highly viral: customers can share interviews to tens of thousands of users. That means free pipeline and a strong PLG motion. We receive inbound from Fortune 500s every day.

Scope of role

  • Outreach + engagement: contact leads via email, cold calls, conferences, and more. Manage inbound and referral leads.

  • Lead gen + prospecting: research potential customers, generate leads, and build a consistent outbound sales pipeline. Attend industry events and develop connections to drive future sales growth.

  • Qualification + closing: run discovery calls, demos, and follow-ups to qualify close new customers. Build proposals and RoI cases that convince qualified prospects to buy Listen. Negotiate contract terms when needed.

  • Process improvement: improve our internal sales processes (slides, call scripts, meeting templates, contract terms, CRM workflows, metrics, dashboards, etc.). Run weekly “Sales Review” meetings company-wide to review deals and answer questions.

  • Cross-team work: work with Customer Success, Engineering, and Product to consistently delight customers. Work with our co-founding team on all things sales and revenue related.

This is a unique role with potential to expand into a Sales leadership position quickly as we grow, reporting directly into the CEO.

Compensation

  • Compensation shown consists of base + commission (OTE), with meaningful equity.

  • Nothing makes our founders happier than writing fat commission checks for well-qualified customers we retain. We ring gongs for each deal.

Investors

We're backed by Sequoia Capital, Conviction, AI Grant and Pear VC.

There’s been $30B+ of market cap created in markets tangential to us (Medalia, Alphasights, GLG, Alphasense, Ipsos, Kantar). Our partner at Sequoia, Bryan Schreier, was the first investor in Qualtrics – a $12B company in a similar space as us.
