The Director, Community is a contract role that will manage the Community Team from October 2025 through March 2026.

  • This role will be responsible for executing on the Community Strategy and enabling the Community Team to deliver on key initiatives and meet aligned upon goals. This role will report to the Chief Experience & Product Officer and primarily partners with Clubhouse and Events Production leadership teams.

What You’ll Do:

  • Be responsible for delivering on the community vision and strategy to continually deliver impactful member experiences that drive engagement and retention.

  • Lead the Community Team in executing the strategy, including, but not limited to, in person and virtual events, activating local leaders to drive connections, and supporting members in self organizing.

  • Partner with cross functional teams to enable and empower the team in delivering on their goals.

  • Uphold and enforce operational infrastructure to help the team track towards their goals including using Monday.com, Budget Templates, and review and assess data.

  • Manage people leaders and team members, including 1:1s, and partner with the team lead and Chief Experience & Product Officer to deliver coaching and professional development plans

  • Serve as a point of contact for community-related Member and Guide escalations

  • Judiciously manage a budget and report on Budget vs. Actual on a monthly basis, approve expenses and contracts

What you’ve done and enjoy doing:

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, with strong project management skills and the ability to prioritize and multitask

  • Strong operational skillset with experience building and managing budgets and reporting on KPIs

  • Deeply passionate about community with prior experience in customer-facing roles

  • Proven success in leading, training, and managing a strong team

  • Deep understanding of and passion for Chief’s mission and existing community and the passion to help grow and further this as we grow

  • Self-motivated, strategic creative worker with a drive for excellence, always looking beyond the available options when up against roadblocks

  • A strong contributor in a high growth environment

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite Products is a must

  • Knowledge of Zoom, Slack, Salesforce, and Metabases are a plus

The salary for this role is: $85/hour
