Finance Officer
Contract type: 2 years Fixed‑term – 37.5 hours per week
Location: Lusaka, Zambia, subject to right‑to‑work eligibility.

About the Team
The Finance Officer will form part of the Finance & IT department which si currently composed of the Acting Head of Finance & IT, Finance Officer- Grants and IT Officer. The incumbent will be required to provide support to the entire country programme in relation to compliance with established financial processes and procedures.
About the role
This role will ensure compliance with WaterAid financial policies and procedures for payments, receipts and cash management, and ensure completeness and accuracy of WaterAid financial accounts as well as escalating issues to the Head of Finance & IT and Finance Manager as may be necessary.
The Finance Officer will be an experienced accounting technician, provide a range of financial processing and accounts support, purchasing and logistics support, and contracts and compliance support. They will provide capacity building and support to colleagues and partners in effective financial accounting and compliance. The Finance Officer will ensure their financial processing and accounts responsibilities are in line with WaterAid financial systems and internal regulations, and compliant with local country specific reporting requirements.
