Your Role:
EIT is seeking a strategic and hands on Head of Application Integration Services (AIS), to shape and deliver the enterprise application and integration landscape at EIT.
This is a senior leadership role with accountability for the strategy, prioritisation, design, and delivery of business‑critical systems, supporting central operations such as Finance, HR, Supply Chain, and Facilities, and enabling EIT’s growth beyond the scale‑up phase to an organisation of 5,000+ employees.
With a strong emphasis on Oracle‑first, cloud‑native platforms, you will lead a blended function of internal teams and Tier‑1 system integrators, ensuring that applications and data platforms are secure, scalable, interoperable, and fit for the future.
Your Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Governance
- Define and execute the AIS strategy, roadmap, and delivery priorities.
- Build, lead, and develop a multidisciplinary team covering technical delivery, systems leadership, and business analysis.
- Establish and continuously improve frameworks, policies, and governance for application development and integration.
- Set standards for API management, data integration, and interoperability.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner closely with business, IT, and research leaders to capture requirements and shape solutions.
- Support senior leadership in evaluating, selecting, and implementing enterprise systems aligned to organisational need.
- Lead effective programme governance, reporting, and communication across stakeholders and delivery partners.
Technical Architecture & Delivery
- Oversee the design and delivery of cloud‑native application architectures within an Oracle‑first ecosystem.
- Ensure robust integration across ERP, CRM, PLM, core data platforms, and specialist applications.
- Provide clear technical direction while enabling teams to deliver effectively.
Operational Excellence & Risk Management
- Ensure high availability, performance, and security of live integration services.
- Lead a strong “in‑life” support and continuous improvement model.
- Identify and mitigate risks relating to data integrity, system performance, and regulatory compliance.
Essential Skills, Qualifications & Experience:
- Demonstrable experience successfully leading application integration initiatives within an enterprise environment
- Exceptional people leadership skills, with experience developing and scaling delivery teams.
- Strong experience managing complex product and system backlogs across multiple business domains.
- Demonstrated success delivering against structured delivery lifecycles and governance frameworks.
- Experience with leading cloud‑based enterprise platforms (e.g. Oracle Fusion, OCI, Salesforce, Atlassian).
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and leadership skills.
Desirable Skills, Qualifications & Experience:
- Deep experience with Oracle cloud-based solutions (Fusion, Analytics Data Platform, Supply Chain, Oracle Integration Cloud, etc.)
- Experience within research and innovation environments.
- Scaleup experience – building teams that take organisations to the next level.
- An understanding of data governance, security protocols, and regulatory compliance within a scientific environment.
- Role specific qualifications (e.g. SAFe, TOGAF, PMP, ITIL, etc.).
Salary: Dependent on experience + Travel allowance + bonus
