As the R&D powerhouse for the progressive movement, we’ve run over 100 randomized control trials (RCTs) on voter behavior and helped hundreds of organizations increase their impact. As the Head of Partner Strategy, you will be a core part of our Development team, leading client acquisition across all Movement Labs service areas — including texting, experiments consulting, organizing consulting, and social/digital data services. This role manages a client strategy and sales pipeline, owns go-to-market strategy, and drives thought leadership initiatives that expand Movement Labs' reach and reputation.
This role is fully remote.
Responsibilities
- Client acquisition:
- Directly close clients across Movement Labs' service portfolio, with an emphasis on "client asset" projects that will demonstrably win elections
- Build and sustain a client outreach engine that consistently generates new meetings and opportunities
- Strengthen client management process, including upsell / cross-sell process
- Reinforce good sales operations, CRM, and data hygiene across the team, making sure Copper is the source of truth for client expansion opportunities
- Go-to-market strategy:
- Exercise decision-making power over go-to-market strategy
- Define and execute go-to-market materials for each service area, prioritizing by maturity
- Service and market strategy
- Industry, sub-industry, and buyer profile definition across Movement Labs and Public Results
- Testing new services / offerings marketability through early discovery conversations
- Service delivery:
- Balance entrepreneurial growth of emerging services with the operational rigor needed to serve them
- Manage tradeoffs between growth and capacity, sequence budget and goals, understand delivery constraints
- Provide input into team planning, including staffing, skill set, and seniority needed, to be able to successfully deliver on confirmed projects
- Thought leadership & external presence
- Lead thought leadership initiatives including webinars, whitepapers, small-group dinners, and conference participation, with the support of the communications team
- Expand Movement Labs’ presence and brand in the field
- Represent Movement Labs and, where relevant, Public Results on intro calls, demos, and at industry events and conferences
Success Metrics
- Directly closed clients across all service areas
- A reliable client outreach engine generating consistent meetings and pipeline
- Go-to-market materials defined, created, and actively deployed for all key services and offerings
- Effective balance of emerging service development with client delivery needs
- Independent and strategic decision-making over go-to-market activities
- Visible contributions to Movement Labs' external reputation through thought leadership work
• 8–10+ years of sales, partnerships, or client strategy experience in the field of tech & progressive politics
• Proven record of closing high-value deals and scaling sales engines
• Experience managing and mentoring client-facing staff (preferred)
• Strong background in go-to-market strategy and execution
• Excellent relationship-building and communication skills with prospects and clients
• Alignment with Movement Labs' mission and a desire to help build progressive power
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual salary of $100,000 - $130,000, depending on experience, as part of a transparent salary structure with clear levels of advancement, and an additional Cost-of-Living salary Adjustment

- This position is not eligible for the collective bargaining unit
