We are growing fast, and partnering with more universities across the world every week. We’re looking for a Product Lead to help envision and draw out a great platform. This role requires someone who thrives in a startup environment, working independently and collaboratively to drive success.
Tasks & Responsibilities
Main Responsibility: to build an awesome product that our users & customers love/value and build it the right way. The core product manager role is about product discovery, delivery, maintenance and analysis.
Product discovery role (build the right things)
Making sure we ‘know’ what we should build (first) and what’s the best solution to implement.
- Product vision, goals & strategy: decide what we want to achieve, build and maintain the roadmap, determine how to best measure that and where we can/should excel & invest our time
- Stakeholder management & communication: aligning & communicating with key stakeholders on what we should build first (e.g. via roadmap, feedback, etc.)
- Feedback gathering & analysis: getting feedback from students, university contacts & internal teams to better understand our stakeholders and discover opportunities for improvement & possible solutions
- Data analysis: analyzing usage data to better understand our stakeholders and discover opportunities for improvement & possible solutions
- Journey/process analysis: analyzing user journeys to better understand experience for our stakeholders, discover opportunities for improvement & possible solutions
- Competitor analysis: what can we learn from them, and where should we differentiate
- (Shared) Ideation: brainstorming ideas and sharing ideas
- UX/UI design: creating mockups & designs for how the solution should work
- Prioritization: deciding what to implement first (based on goals, opportunities, challenges and possible solutions)
Product delivery role (build it right)
Making sure we efficiently deliver new quality (bug-free) features.
- Developer coordination & alignment: regular meetings & communication with the development team to work together as efficiently as possible
- Epic/Story planning: pre-discuss upcoming planned epics and specific stories
- Story creation & specification: creating & specifying stories for the development team
- Acceptance testing & test coordination: testing delivered stories and giving feedback
- Release management: coordinating with the development team what to release when, adding config data, creating release notes, deploying in App & Play store and communicating new releases internally and externally
- Measuring & learning: measuring usage & impact of delivered features
Functional maintenance role (optimal tooling usage & continuity)
Reacting quickly to incidents and adding/updating content inside the platform that cannot be managed by the Community team yet.
- Bug/issue investigation: investigate issues reported by users and/or internal team
- Tool management: setup & maintain tools used for product & development
- Monitoring: regular (data/error) checks here and there to see all is working correct
Data Analyst/BI Role (be able to see & understand how users behave)
Making sure we have access to the right reports/dashboards
- Communication & alignment about reporting/BI needs
- Making sure we have the right data & data quality is good
- Creating queries
- Creating/updating reports & dashboards
- Able to travel to the Eindhoven HQ office on average 2 times per week
- Familiar with GitHub, Google Firebase, Figma & Looker
- Reasonable understanding of Rest API and Postman
- Reasonable understanding of basic programming and database structures
- Basic understanding of User Experience design
- At least 5 years of relevant experience as a product manager or similar
