Location: Remote Ireland, with regular travel in Ireland and to Cambridge, UK

Salary: €33,600 - €39,900 p.a. Full-time equivalent, dependent on experience

Basis: Permanent, Full-time, part-time or flexible

Eligibility: You must be eligible to work in Ireland

The role

We are looking to appoint a Programme Coordinator to support the development and growth of Experience CS in schools across Ireland.

Experience CS is a new free curriculum from the Raspberry Pi Foundation that enables educators to teach computer science concepts using Scratch across the curriculum including maths, science, languages, and SEE subjects.

Reporting to the Senior Programme Manager, the Programme Coordinator will be responsible for onboarding and supporting schools to deliver Experience CS, and will work with our delivery partners to give teachers access to effective professional development opportunities.

The ideal candidate will have experience of delivering educational programmes in schools in Ireland. You will have a track record of providing effective support and maintaining successful partnerships, and be capable and confident when communicating with stakeholders at all levels. You will need to be organised and flexible, ready to try new approaches, evaluate, and iterate.

You don’t need to be an expert in computing or digital making, but you do need to bring a passion for our mission and a willingness to learn. Experience with Scratch, experience working with teachers and schools in the Republic of Ireland and knowledge of Irish would be an advantage.

We work hard to make sure that the Foundation is a place where everyone is supported to do the best work of their careers. We have a flexible and collaborative approach to all aspects of our work. If you're the right person for the job, we’ll make it work for you, and you can be confident that you’ll be joining an exceptional team of people who care about our mission and each other.

Responsibilities

  • Onboard schools to support the rapid growth of Experience CS in Ireland
  • Support educators to use our resources and access professional development opportunities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with delivery partners and other stakeholders to support programme delivery at scale
  • Organise and facilitate webinars and events for delivery partners and educators
  • Assist with the creation of professional development materials and other resources
  • Contribute to monitoring and reporting to demonstrate programme impact, share insights and help inform future planning
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of marketing campaigns that promote the Experience CS programme
  • Represent Raspberry Pi Foundation at conferences, education fairs, and partner events

Experience and personal attributes

We recognise that everyone has the potential for growth. We welcome applications from candidates who can demonstrate that they have some, but not necessarily all, of the experience and personal attributes listed here.

  • Experience of delivering education programmes in schools at scale in the Republic of Ireland.
  • Experience of project coordination across multiple teams and external partners, ensuring efficient delivery to meet project timelines.
  • Experience of supporting the design and delivery of teacher professional development including online and in-person events.
  • Knowledge of the educational landscape in Ireland and how schools operate. Teaching experience is an advantage.
  • Experience creating learning opportunities for young people, ideally related to digital skills, computing, or digital making.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with confidence presenting to a wide range of audiences.
  • Good data and analytical skills, ideally with proficiency in Salesforce, Pardot, and spreadsheets to improve what we do, and for reporting.
  • Irish language skills would be beneficial.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly within Ireland, and to our office in Cambridge UK, including overnight stays when required. A full clean driving licence.

About us

The Raspberry Pi Foundation is an independent charity with a global mission to enable all young people to realise their full potential through the power of computing and digital technologies. In Ireland we operate through Raspberry Pi Foundation Europe, which is the trading name for Hello World Foundation, a registered charity in Ireland (1148596).

We empower schools to teach computer science and AI literacy through free curricula, classroom resources, purpose built software tools, and professional development for teachers. We inspire young people to become tech creators through the world's largest networks of coding clubs. We undertake original research that informs our work and which we use to advance the field of computer science education more broadly.

All of our resources and learning experiences are available for anyone to use at no cost. We are particularly focused on creating opportunities for young people who experience educational disadvantage and those who come from backgrounds traditionally underrepresented in technology industries.

Over the past decade, we have supported hundreds of thousands of educators and tens of millions of students. We have teams in six countries (India, Ireland, Kenya, South Africa, the UK and US) and partnerships with mission-aligned non-profit organisations in over 60 countries.

We are at the forefront of the global educational movement to expand access to computer science education and AI literacy. You can learn more about our work in our latest Annual Report.
