Tiko is seeking an individual consultant to support risk management for our operations in Johannesburg over the next three months.


The Job

The Risk Management Consultant at Tiko is tasked with the critical role of overseeing and enhancing our risk management framework to ensure the integrity and security of our operations. 


Scope of work:

    1. Familiarize with Tiko way of operating and the current objectives including arrangements in place to achieve program objectives.
    2. Familiarise with our platform risk management processes including fraud prevention, detection and response controls to support meeting program objectives. This includes the risk dashboard and the data points already available to support platform risk management.
    3. Active risk management in the ecosystem including conducting the following;
      1. Data verification - Collect data in the primary registers against platform for analysis and identify any gaps in the facilities record keeping against platform validations. (This includes contraceptives, mental health and HIV testing and treatment) 
      2. Random audits and spot checks - conduct monitoring platform activities in areas/facilities where significant activity has been noted or is anticipated.
      3. Sample calls verification for beneficiaries consenting to be called to verify service uptake and actors compliance to the user journey.
      4. Carry out actors audits and investigations as may be necessary or as assigned.
      5. Communicate audit/investigation findings to both internal and external stakeholders with a view of improving controls and compliance.
      6. Implement appropriate mechanisms to follow-up of the agreed recommendations by both internal and external stakeholders.


    About you

    You are someone who pays attention to detail and has excellent analytical skills. You have an extremely thorough approach to your work, and ensures that tasks are followed up on and completed in a timely manner.


    You must ideally meet the criteria below.

      • 3+ years experience in a similar area (Health data monitoring and evaluation)
      • An understanding of public health data quality management processes (formal qualifications if any are desirable) 
      • The ability to communicate clearly and concisely, including when reporting your findings.
      • You can collaborate with multi-functional teams and can offer practical solutions where necessary.


    This is a three-month role and the compensation is within a range of R38 000 - 42,000 gross per month.
