About the Role

In order to achieve its ambition of serving 80,000-100,000 Fellows over the next decade, Braven is hiring a Salesforce Solutions Engineer who will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing Braven’s Salesforce ecosystem. In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement robust Salesforce solutions that align with Braven’s mission and strategic goals. As a member of the Systems team, you will bring your Salesforce expertise to translate critical user stories and requirements into large-scale projects and help make critical decisions on project scope, resources, and solutions.

This role is on the Systems team and reports directly to the Director, Salesforce Operations.

What You’ll Do

Scrum Participation & Solution Delivery (60%)

  • Collaborate with the scrum teams to understand project requirements and objectives.
  • Gather requirements, strategize solutions, and execute on user stories assigned.
  • Design Salesforce solutions that align with Scrum goals and Salesforce best practices.
  • Develop comprehensive technical proposals, including solution design, architecture, and implementation approach.
  • Conduct demonstrations and presentations of Salesforce solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery and implementation of scalable Salesforce projects and solutions.
  • Translate Salesforce processes and solutions into user-friendly guidance and documentation.
  • Partner with Developers and Architect, when needed, to scope, design, and implement advanced solutions.
  • Design scalable and user-centric Salesforce solutions that balance technical feasibility with long-term business needs.

Salesforce Administration (40%)

  • Respond to user tickets and ongoing debugging and problem-solving.
  • Support the integration and management of third-party tools affiliated with Salesforce (e.g., Mogli, Campaign Monitor, Form Assembly).
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Salesforce features and releases, incorporating updates into existing solutions.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot moderately complex Salesforce issues, delivering timely, effective resolutions.
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

  • At least two (2) years of professional experience as a  Salesforce Administrator.
  • Salesforce Certifications: Administrator (ADM-201)
  • Experience with one or more relevant tools that integrate with Salesforce such as Campaign Monitor, Classy, Conga, Duplicate Check, Excel/Google Sheets, FormAssembly, Mogli, and Tableau.
  • Experience utilizing data migration tools such as Data Loader, Workbench, or other third-party integration tools.
  • Knowledge and experience in implementing Salesforce best practices related to field creation, page layout customization, and duplicate management.
  • Experience with flows to enhance Salesforce automation and streamline processes.
  • Familiarity with managing roles, profiles, permission sets, and sharing rules to ensure data security and access control.
  • Experience managing sandbox environments and deploying changes into production.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Additional Salesforce Certifications: Advanced Administrator (ADM-211); Business Analyst.
  • Experience in a non-profit setting using Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP).
  • Experience in Agile methodologies and project management tools (e.g., Asana, Jira, etc.) preferred.
  • Strong collaborative skills with a clear understanding of how data and operations contribute to organizational goals.
  • Proven ability to support cross-functional and strategically important projects while maintaining attention to detail in daily operations.
  • Ability to thrive and lead multiple projects in a fast-paced work environment.

Work Demands

  • Ability to work in-person in Atlanta (GA), Chicago (IL), Newark (NJ), or New York City (NYC) at least 3 days per week.

Compensation and Benefits

Braven offers competitive base salaries based on the midpoint of the market among not-for-profit organizations of similar size, with opportunities for salary growth over time. We believe in compensating staff members fairly in relation to each other, their qualifications, and their impact on behalf of the organization, and take internal and external equity seriously. Given our commitment to equity, Braven does not negotiate salary offers; instead, each salary offer is determined carefully using external and internal benchmarking.

New hires can expect a starting salary at the lower end of the range, as Braven compensates based on the requirements and scope of the role rather than years of experience or prior salary, allowing for growth with performance and maintaining internal equity. The salary ranges, by geographic market, for this role are set forth $87,200-$108,900 in Atlanta, $92,000-$114,900 in Chicago, $101,200-$126,400 in New York and Newark, NJ. This is a full-time, regular, exempt, and benefits eligible position where you will be working at 100% capacity.

Location

We gather in the office 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday) and work remotely 2 days a week (Monday and Friday). Therefore, we require teammates to live within commuting distance of one of our hubs in Atlanta, Chicago, Newark, or New York. We believe in the magic, connection, and collaboration that happens when people work together face-to-face, and we believe in giving people flexibility to focus, balance personal priorities, and save themselves two commutes per week.
