Insight Timer
Part-time
Remote
Worldwide

With 25,000 mental health professionals in our network today, and a path to 500,000 worldwide, we're building the infrastructure to support the world's largest community of mental health practitioners.

We're looking for a Clinical Psychologist to provide strategic oversight as we scale. You will act as a senior clinical advisor to Product, Trust & Safety, and Executive Leadership, with clear escalation paths on clinical risk, ethical concerns, and user safety. You'll shape how we curate and recommend content for therapists and guide our responsible use of AI across the platform. You’ll help us bring rigor and clarity to decisions that will touch hundreds of millions of lives.

The role is three days a week, partnering closely with our therapist team to ensure everything we build is grounded in sound principles. Your expertise will inform how we build tools that therapists can rely on, how we integrate discovery tools and chatbots, and how we navigate the intersection of technology and emotional health.

About Insight Timer

Imagine a platform which could amplify something as simple as your attendance into deep transformational shifts for humanity. A place where showing up was enough. Where each individual visit combined with millions more to trigger huge waves of health and happiness around the world. What would such a platform look like? Could you even build it? And more importantly, how would you protect it from becoming another Instagram, TikTok or Twitter which magnify the very worst of us.

If we can answer these questions, we believe Insight Timer’s community will emerge as one of the most important companies of the 21st century. A place - not a product - which is capable of reversing the modern day health pandemic by harmonising the human spirit before problems arise. And if we get there... well, the opportunities are endless. Imagine a modern-day renaissance where health, belonging and purpose become the new definitions of happiness for hundreds of millions of people around the world, including you.

And all you need to do… is show up.

  • Responsible AI Integration: Provide strategic guidance on AI features, including defining clear boundaries for chatbot behavior and escalation thresholds.

  • Clear Communicator: Able to translate complex clinical concepts into clear recommendations for product and operations teams.
  • Startup Curiosity: Experience advising tech companies or startups is a plus. You're comfortable in fast-moving environments where decisions need to be made thoughtfully but quickly.
  • We offer competitive salaries and options.
  • The role is fully remote but you must be based in PT.
  • Extra leave days are available for your well-being and birthday.
  • A generous L&D budget & wellbeing bonus.
  • We host a global company retreat each year.

We dial in from all over the world, and it's important that our team is just as diverse as our community of users, customers and teachers. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, national origin, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, or marital, veteran, or disability status.

Even if you don't think you quite meet all of the skills listed or tick all the boxes, we'd still love to hear from you.
