The role / Position overview
Reporting to the US Head of Revenue, Luxury & Consumer, the Account Manager, Watches & Jewelry will play a key role within the Financial Times’ global luxury commercial organisation. The role will handle and grow relationships across the Watches & Jewelry category in the US, while collaborating closely with colleagues globally.
The Account Manager will be responsible for developing existing partnerships and identifying new commercial opportunities, bringing together the FT’s capabilities to create integrated, insight-led solutions that address clients’ business objectives and drive sustainable revenue growth.
Key responsibilities
Client & revenue growth
- Develop and lead a portfolio of Watches & Jewelry advertisers and agencies, driving sustainable revenue growth across the FT’s commercial offerings.
- Identify and cultivate new business opportunities within the Watches & Jewelry sector and adjacent luxury categories.
- Build trusted relationships with clients, agencies and marketing decision-makers at multiple levels of an organisation.
- Deliver against quarterly and annual revenue targets while maintaining an active pipeline of opportunities.
- Develop strategic account plans that identify opportunities for growth across brands, regions and commercial products.
Consultative selling
- Develop deep expertise in the FT’s commercial ecosystem and use this knowledge to identify relevant opportunities for clients.
- Create integrated, insight-led proposals tailored to clients’ business objectives.
- Collaborate with internal specialists to develop innovative, multi-platform solutions.
- Represent the FT as a trusted partner within the global luxury marketplace.
- Work collaboratively with Client Solutions, Commercial Marketing, FT Live, Digital Ad Ops, Performance Marketing and Editorial partners to implement campaigns effectively.
Pipeline & account management
- Maintain accurate opportunity management, forecasting and account activity within Salesforce.
- Prepare thoughtful sales presentations, meeting materials and follow-up communications.
- Monitor account performance and discover opportunities for renewal, upsell and long-term partnership growth.
- Maintain a well-adapted approach to forecasting, pipeline management and commercial administration.
Required skills / experience
- 3–5 years of experience in media sales, luxury marketing, advertising, publishing, agency or a related commercial role.
- Existing knowledge of, or a strong interest in, the Watches & Jewelry industry and wider luxury marketplace.
- Experience managing client relationships and delivering commercial solutions.
- Strong understanding of digital advertising, content marketing and integrated media solutions.
- Excellent presentation, communication and relationship-building skills.
- Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative and international environment.
- Experience using Salesforce or a similar CRM platform is preferred.

Further Information
A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is $100,000-$105,000 plus an attractive commission package. To ensure pay fairness, the successful candidate will be offered a salary within the estimated salary range based on a number of considerations including but not limited to: skills; experience and training; certifications; and other business and organisational needs. The disclosed range estimate is for our NYC office and has not been adjusted for other locations.
