FMI’s Management Consulting Group is seeking a highly organized, responsive and detail-oriented individual to join its growing Strategy Practice as an Administrative Professional. The ideal candidate is a strong collaborator who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can effectively manage multiple priorities and takes pride in delivering high-quality work.
In this role, you will support a group of partners and consultants, helping facilitate efficient day-to-day operations through a variety of administrative and project-related responsibilities. This may include project setup, calendar and meeting management, client interview coordination, preparation and proofreading of client deliverables, invoicing and billing support, and maintaining project documentation.
This is a full-time opportunity based in our downtown corporate headquarters in Raleigh, North Carolina. This position follows a hybrid work schedule, with three days per week in the office and two days working remotely.

Responsibilities
- Support multiple partners and consultants simultaneously, effectively managing competing priorities and deadlines.
- Set up new projects, including coordinating project numbers, entering project information and invoice plans, and creating Teams channels for project collaboration.
- Manage calendars and schedule meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate client meetings and interviews as needed.
- Assist with the preparation of presentations, proposals and other client deliverables, including light research and ensuring. materials reflect FMI’s branding and professional standards.
- Proofread documents and presentations for spelling, grammar, formatting and branding.
- Produce final documents in electronic or printed format as needed.
- Create basic surveys, collect results and provide data for consultant review.
- Create and maintain tracking sheets and reports for client and prospect activity.
- Process employee expenses, subcontractor fees, client invoices and billing accurately and in a timely manner.
- Communicate with clients regarding invoicing questions and payment delays at the direction of consultants.
- Maintain and file final project documentation.
- Provide administrative support to the team as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Associate degree from an accredited college or university preferred
- Six or more years of experience in an administrative support role or equivalent position
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to build effective working relationships
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong listening skills and the ability to ask thoughtful questions to ensure understanding
- Ability to adapt to change and work effectively in an evolving environment
- Ability to collaborate with and support individuals at all levels of the organization
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; experience with NetSuite, Salesforce, Qualtrics and Zoom is preferred
- Willingness and ability to learn and adopt new technology and solutions
