AMNC25 - Intern, Centre for Health and Healthcare

The World Economic Forum, committed to improving the state of the world, is the International Organization for Public-Private Cooperation. The Forum engages the foremost political, business and other leaders of society to shape global, regional and industry agendas.

You will work closely with respective teams at the World Economic Forum Beijing Office to support the preparations for the Annual Meeting of the New Champions (AMNC).

Duration and location

1 April โ€“ Early July; 4-5 days/week onsite at the Beijing office

Requirements

The Internship role is for candidates currently pursuing a college or university degree (undergraduate or postgraduate) and is usually undertaken during the penultimate year of study. While your major is not important, we are looking for candidates with an outstanding record of academic achievement, a can-do attitude and a desire to make an impact.

What to expect

Throughout the internship, you will have the unique opportunity to:

The intern will join the office for a three-month period during spring of 2025. You will work four to five days a week and receive a RMB 7500 monthly stipend if working on full- time.

Team Introduction

The Centre for Health and Healthcare works to identify and scale solutions that build more resilient, efficient, and equitable healthcare systems. Through multi-stakeholder collaboration, the Centre aims to improve health outcomes and ensure access to high-quality care worldwide.

As part of its work in the region, the Centre focuses on key thematic areas such as technology- and innovation-driven health solutions, equitable healthcare access, and system transformation. To support these efforts, we are seeking a motivated and self-driven intern to assist with research, stakeholder engagement, and event coordination in the lead-up to and during the Annual Meeting of the New Champions (AMNC).

Main Responsibilities

Operations & Logistics

  • Support event logistics and operational tasks to ensure seamless execution.
  • Assist in coordinating the Centreโ€™s engagement at AMNC, facilitating interactions with the health and healthcare community in China.
  • Support stakeholder communications and outreach efforts.

Communications

  • Contribute to the development of thought leadership materials to advance discussions on key health and healthcare topics.

Research & Analysis

  • Conduct research on critical issues within the health and healthcare sector.
  • Assist with stakeholder mapping and curate impact stories showcasing the Centreโ€™s initiatives.

General Support

  • Provide administrative assistance to the team as needed.

Preferred Requirements and Experience

  • This role will be fully integrated with the global team, providing exposure to international collaboration and engagement with global stakeholders.
  • Strong English and Mandarin writing and communication skills.
  • Academic background or work experience in public health, healthcare industry, or related fields.
  • Strong organizational, project management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive, flexible, and solution-oriented mindset with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
