About the Role

The Associate I, Training, is responsible for supporting the logistics and operations required for the Foundation's training efforts. Reporting to the Director, Training, this role assists the smooth coordination of training deliverables, inclusive of data tracking and associated administrative tasks to support high-quality program execution. This position plays a vital role in assisting the training team in organizing and tracking training activities across programs, aligning with the Foundation’s mission and goals. The Associate I, Training, works collaboratively with team members in training, education, evaluation, and customer success functions to ensure the efficient delivery of impactful training experiences.


About the Team

The Programs Department is responsible for operating, improving, and scaling the U.S. Soccer Foundation’s child-centered programs and adult learning trainings, to ensure that the Foundation remains at the forefront of the sports-based youth development (SBYD) field. This work involves curating SBYD best practices to innovate and tailor our curricula and training to meet the unique needs of underserved communities across the country. Designing and deploying pathways to scale, this team is responsible for driving the adoption of the U.S. Soccer Foundation methodology in youth serving marketplaces across the country.


Responsibilities

  • Manage data collection and reporting for trainings, utilizing Salesforce for efficient tracking
  • Organize and/or coordinate with vendors to source, order, and resolve issues related to training equipment
  • Support the logistics and technical support for trainings
  • Coordinate the logistics for conventions and conferences where programs are represented
  • Support the planning and execution of national and regional events for facilitators and trainers, ensuring seamless coordination and delivery
  • Assist in coordinating with a network of 40+ consultants conducting 150+ training sessions annually
  • Assist in the onboarding, scheduling, assignments, and payment processes for the consultant network
  • Support the implementation of quantitative and qualitative evaluation methods to enhance customer success and program impact
  • Assist in the deployment of training content to ensure relevance and effectiveness
  • Champion and promote the goals, mission, and culture of the U.S. Soccer Foundation through all activities and initiatives
  • Perform additional responsibilities as needed to advance the Foundation’s initiatives

 

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 1+ years of professional experience in sport-based youth development, physical education, and/or physical activity training and programming
  • Experience with data management, data hygiene, and/or data collection
  • Understanding of and commitment to the U.S. Soccer Foundation mission
  • Demonstrated commitment to issues impacting children and families, specifically in underserved communities
  • Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive and culturally responsive working and learning environment
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work assignments with multiple partners with diverse perspectives, utilizing a strong attention to detail
  • Self-starter, exhibiting a strong work ethic, ability to maximize work with minimal supervision
  • Strong oral, written, research, and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to provide and receive feedback in consistent ways
  • Proficiency in Microsoft, Salesforce, FormAssembly, and online platforms
  • Committed to bettering the lives of children through sports-based youth development
  • Experience in planning and executing training and professional development events
  • Ability (or desire to learn) to deliver/facilitate/lead training(s) in varied settings
  • Program management experience
  • Spanish and/or other language proficiency a plus
  • Ability to travel 30% of schedule, to include nights, weekends, and holidays
