The Team
The Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Center of Excellence (CoE) is a central functional team made up of experts, specialists and enabling partners (i.e., analytics, communications, project managers, and external consultants) to provide foundation-wide direction, governance, tools, and resources to drive DEI commitment, change and results.Application Deadline: 27/ 5/2025
Your Role
The associate officer - Projects will help provide project management support, manage roadmaps, co-ordinate, report and partner with various teams across different countries to ensure projects deliver the expected scope and business value timeously.
The position reports to the Regional DEI Lead for Africa and EMEA. It is a 12-month limited-term employment position based in Kenya. The ideal candidate must be legally authorized to work in Kenya without visa sponsorship.
What You'll Do
Provide project support on execution job on projects, programs, and processes to deliver business value, including maintaining responsibility for planning, managing, and tracking progress of the execution approach.
Identify opportunities to operate more efficiently and better serve the division, propose potential projects, and partner with stakeholders to execute projects and make improvements.
Support with the development of country -level DEI priorities and monitor status, including document and communications creation, presentation preparation, logistical support, and SharePoint management.
Monitor progress and impact and partner with different country teams to assess course corrections and plan adjustments.
Build and manage project management infrastructure needed to support team.
Serve as front-line customer support to triage and resolve issues.
Serve as a point of contact for communications-related efforts.
Ensure projects are executed in line with foundation guidelines, processes, and policies
Support inclusive culture through modeling behaviors and actions; escalate issues in a timely fashion to appropriate stakeholders.
Your Experience
A Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of experience, or equivalent experience.
An MBA or a PMP certification is an added advantage
Excellent written, visual, and verbal communication skills effective with broad and diverse audience.
Ability to track and manage formal and informal intersections and interdependencies, upstream/downstream effects, and identify future implications across the end-to-end system to support roadmap management and strategic prioritization.
Advanced knowledge of succinctly communicating key strategic objectives and performance goals and consistently building momentum for a project across teams in a dynamic environment with competing priorities.
Understanding of the business benefits of projects and operational processes and the linkage between project/program goals and organizational strategy and drivers.
Other Attributes
This position is a limited-term position for 12 months based in Kenya. Relocation will not be provided.
Excellent stakeholder engagement, particularly across different regions and cultures
Ability to travel 25 - 30% of the time.
Must be able to legally work in the country where this position is located without visa sponsorship.
