Position Overview:

The Associate, Research Monitoring and Evaluation will be responsible for managing the storage and archiving of Room to Read’s program and project data at the upazila level. They will work closely with the Narail field office to support the effective implementation of Reading Advancement activities. This position reports to the Senior Manager, Research Monitoring and Evaluation (RM&E) and is based in Narail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Storing and Analysis: Collect and store program and project data, analyze it, and prepare various presentations to illustrate trends and insights.

  • Data Quality Monitoring (DQM): Conduct data quality monitoring, including data collection, entry, and report preparation. Cross-check reported data with primary data sources to ensure data accuracy and quality. Provide recommendations for GSD reconciliation.

  • Frequent School Visits: Regularly visit Literacy Program schools to review program and project implementation and collect necessary project data and prepare reports with recommendations.

  • Collect and Compile Field Visit Reports: Collect and compile reports from Research Monitoring and Evaluation (RM&E) visits, prepare presentations based on the findings to share with relevant stakeholders.

  • Library Rating for Literacy Program: Verify and analyze Library Rating data activity.

  • Monthly PIM Data Management: Cross-check, compile, and analyze monthly PIM data, then prepare presentations based on the findings.

  • Student Tracking Data Analysis: Support the quality checking during data collection, data compilation, and support in analysis of student tracking data, and preparing related presentations.

  • Literacy Program Assessments: Assist in conducting assessments for Literacy Program. Take part in data quality monitoring during data collection by external data collectors.

  • Assist in Research: Provide support to Officer, Research Monitoring and Evaluation and Sr. Manager, Research Monitoring and Evaluation in planning and conducting Country Office-led research work.

  • Assist RM&E and Program Team: Assist the Research Monitoring and Evaluation and program teams in data collection.

  • Book Check Out Data: Collect and analyze data related to book checkouts and prepare relevant analysis.

  • Program Participation: Participate in various programs and events organized by Room to Read or assigned by Room to Read.

  • Any other assignments as instructed by the Supervisor or Room to Read management.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • At least bachelor’s degree from a reputed university, major in Statistics/Education/Social Science or any other relevant subject

  • At least three years of experience in monitoring and research work including, data collection, data quality, data entry and managing database

Technical:

  • Strong knowledge in MS Office software is a must

  • Expertise in data quality monitoring is a must

  • Experience and comfort in using computers, web and android-based applications for data collection and analyzing will be an asset

  • Experience in data analysis and preparing analytical reports

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions will be a plus
