We are seeking a Business Accountant to support accounting activities across the Group’s accounting functions.

The role will include preparing monthly management accounts, analysing revenue and expenditure, performing key reconciliations, assisting with the Management Reports, and supporting year-end audit processes. The position will also involve driving various continuous improvement initiatives.

This individual will work within the Business Accounting team and report to the Manager Business Accounting. The position requires strong attention to detail, effective cross-functional coordination, and a working knowledge of ERP, proficient in using BI for analysing large data.

Key responsibilities, including but not limited to

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts and information for the assigned business function, including but not limited to revenue, cost and headcount variance analysis. 
  • Analyze monthly financial and operational variances, prepare formal commentary on significant trends and drivers, and present conclusions to the FP&A team prior to month-end close 
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis and financial modelling to support business decision-making and continuous improvements
  • Support preparation of the financial reports for the assigned business functions.
  • Maintain financial control disciplines within the team including coordinating the preparation of all balance sheet reconciliations and to identify and track risk and opportunities.
  • Continuously review the efficiency and effectiveness of the accounting function and implement simplification initiatives.
  • Prepare & support Accounting manager with submission of information to external auditors.
  • Partner and coordinate with cross functional stakeholders for controlling reconciliation items, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies.

Experience, skills and professional attributes

Education and training:

Post Graduate /  Graduate, preferably  with exposure to Media, D2C business, with 6- 8 years of post qualification experience.

Strong academics

Previous work experience

Experience of management accounting including accruals/ prepayments and variance analysis.

Preparing Balance sheet reconciliations and driving clearing of open items

Preferred experience in multi-cultural environment

Audit coordination

Management accounting knowledge

Technology

ERP knowledge

Strong Excel skills

Proficiency in using DB/ BI tools (Tableau, SQL) is preferred

The majority of our roles operate on a hybrid working pattern, with 3+ days office attendance required.
