Too Good To Go
On-site
København, Hovedstaden, Denmark

Too Good To Go is the world's number 1 app for fighting food waste. Why do we need to do that? Because more than 1/3 of the food produced in the world is wasted. And that has a huge impact on the health of our planet; 10% of greenhouse gas emissions come from food waste!

Our mission is to inspire and empower everyone to fight food waste, so we’re doing all we can to create educational tools, make our knowledge as accessible as possible, find new business solutions and even change legislation to reduce food waste.

We’re growing fast: Our community of over 126 million registered users and 253,000+ active partners across 19 countries, have together already saved 483+ million meals from going to waste - avoiding almost 1,304,000 tonnes of CO2e!

Are you ready to architect the future of business controlling?

We are looking for an ambitious and driven Business Controller to elevate our financial transparency and build the next generation of robust controlling processes.

Your mission:

You will be a key driver in a team of three business controllers, owning the actual process for your dedicated business area. Finance is at a pivotal moment, with GenAI and new technologies set to revolutionize our function, and controlling is at the forefront of that change. If you have a deep understanding of financials and a passion for pioneering digital and AI-driven process optimization, you could be the catalyst we're looking for.

Your role:

  • Spearhead the month-end close process for your business area, taking full ownership of the P&L and ensuring all numbers are signed off from a business perspective
  • Deliver deep-dive analyses, connecting financial results with operational KPIs to create a clear and compelling narrative of business performance
  • Act as the crucial link between our Financial Controlling and Finance Business Partnering teams, ensuring the P&L is a true reflection of run-rate performance through meticulous accrual management
  • Champion innovation by actively exploring and implementing digital solutions, including GenAI, to enhance data quality, streamline processes, and future-proof our controlling function
  • Drive robust controlling processes that guarantee accurate and efficient reporting, leveraging Power BI to enhance transparency and control
  • Collaborate across the business, partnering with diverse stakeholders to ensure a complete and accurate picture of our cost base

Requirements:

You are more than a controller; you are a builder. You possess a relentless drive to not just report the numbers, but to understand, challenge, and improve the story they tell. You see a process and immediately think of how to automate and innovate. This role offers significant autonomy to shape your impact and define what "best in class" looks like.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Several years of experience as a Business Controller, Financial Reporting Analyst, or in a similar analytical finance role
  • Deep Financial & Business Acumen: An intuitive and comprehensive understanding of accounting principles, P&L dynamics, and how they connect to the core drivers of a fast-growing business
  • A Digital-First Mindset: A genuine passion for technology, process automation, and a keen interest in exploring the practical applications of GenAI within a finance context.
  • Tech Stack Proficiency: Expert-level skills in Excel/Google Sheets, significant experience with BI tools (Power BI is a major plus), and confidence navigating ERP/Accounting systems
  • An Ownership Mentality: A proactive, self-starter attitude with a passion for continuous improvement and a desire to take on significant responsibility and drive tangible business impact
  • A Compelling Communicator: The ability to distill complex financial information into clear, actionable insights and confidently partner with stakeholders in a global, English-speaking organization
  • Location: You are based in Copenhagen (or are willing to relocate)

Our values:

  • We Win Together
  • We Raise The Bar
  • We Keep It Simple
  • We Build A Legacy
  • We Care
