Campaign Director
Application Deadline: 5 June 2025
Department: Crosscutting Teams
Employment Type: Full Time
Location: Europe
Description
Civic Bridge is a new strategic programme incubated by the Meliore Foundation to reinforce the political will and space for ambitious climate action in Europe. In response to growing threats from far-right movements, disinformation, and anti-climate backlash, Civic Bridge will operate at the intersection of politics, campaigns, and research — to shift narratives, engage decision-makers, and support pro-climate leadership across Germany, France, Spain, Italy, and the UK.
We are building a fast, politically-savvy, and impact-focused organisation that brings together intelligence, communications, and campaigning to counteract regressive forces and secure a democratic path forward for climate action.
As Campaign Director, you will lead the design and execution of Civic Bridge’s political campaigns across Europe — including major election interventions, narrative initiatives, and targeted ecosystem mobilisation. This is a high-energy, high-responsibility role for someone who thrives in complex environments and understands how to turn political strategy into action.
You’ll work across geographies, timelines, and platforms — overseeing message development, digital and media operations, creative content, and grassroots mobilisation. You will be responsible for launching and scaling national and cross-border campaigns.
You will lead a team of country-based campaign managers and collaborate closely with our political and Opposition Research director.
How you'll contribute
1. Strategic Campaign Planning
- Lead the development of Civic Bridge’s campaign strategy across its priority countries.
- Design timelines, theories of change, audience strategies, and intervention plans around key electoral and political moments.
- Identify leverage points and drive priority setting within a fluid and reactive campaign environment.
2. Campaign Execution & Management
- Oversee the rollout of campaign activities including message testing, content production, paid media, influencer engagement, and ecosystem partnerships.
- Direct in-country campaign teams, vendors, and creatives in executing effective campaigns that are politically sharp and culturally relevant.
- Ensure data, insights, and rapid feedback loops are integrated throughout campaign delivery.
3. Narrative & Audience Strategy
- Lead on the development of resonant messages and creative narratives that connect climate politics to voters’ real lives and priorities.
- Integrate polling, ethnographic research, and digital testing into message development.
- Collaborate with political and communications teams to build cohesive messaging and media strategy.
4. Coordination & Leadership
- Manage members of Civic Bridge’s growing campaigns team
- Work across internal teams to align campaigns with political intelligence, opposition research, and movement strategy
- Serve as a representative of Civic Bridge campaign efforts where appropriate.
- Manage budgets, campaign metrics, and reporting frameworks.
- Any other duties to be assigned from time to time
