The annual salary range for this role is $70,000-$75,000 in New York.

The Latin America team serves as the primary interface between the World Economic Forum, policymakers and other stakeholders in Latin America and part of the Caribbean. Government officials from the region and other stakeholders interested in the region rely on the Forum for cutting-edge research, unique insights, practical policy solutions, and the opportunity to interact virtually and in-person with a diverse group of regional and global stakeholders.

Reporting lines and interactions

  • The Coordinator will report to the Head of the Regional Agenda, Latin America, which falls under the Forum’s Centre for Regions, Trade and Geopolitics
  • This role works with staff at the federal, state and city levels, in both executive and legislative functions, and with stakeholders from the private sector, academia, civil society and others, primarily but not exclusively from Latin America.
  • Internally, the position interacts with a broad array of teams across the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the Head of the Regional Agenda - Latin America in operative, administrative and logistics tasks.
  • Be responsible for utilizing Salesforce and other Forum platforms to schedule, manage logistics and operations for meetings in collaboration with the Forum’s Events team and other relevant teams.
  • Schedule and manage regular team meeting minutes and project manage follow up of deliverables, including management of related deliverable timelines.
  • Support with research and collecting information for internal and external use,
  • Support with the distribution of materials and tools, e.g., slide decks, to ensure consistent quality communications internally and with constituents and their engagement with the Forum.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a relevant field such as economics, international relations, Latin American studies or political science.
  • Full proficiency in oral and written Spanish. Portuguese is a plus.
  • Knowledge of the Latin American region. Work/life experience in Latin America is a plus.
  • Ability to collaborate with and coordinate effectively between internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational, project and time management skills, and possess high attention to detail.
  • Excellent writing, presentation and communications skills.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate with and manage expectations of senior executives and their staff with confidence
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Ability to thrive in a demanding environment and different time zones, handle multiple tasks and assignments simultaneously.
  • Self-starting, independent thinker who thrives autonomously through virtual settings and as a flexible team player.
  • Enthusiasm to collaborate with people from a diverse range of cultures and backgrounds
