The Wellcome Trust is a global charitable foundation. We improve health for everyone by funding science, leading policy and advocacy campaigns, and building partnerships.

We plan to spend £16bn over the next ten years, funding new discoveries in life, health, and wellbeing, and taking on three global health challenges: mental health, infectious disease and climate and health.

These challenges need the bold science we support, but they won’t be solved by science alone.

Where in Wellcome will I be working?

You'll join the Creative & Cultural Advocacy team within Corporate Affairs, working as part of a Solutions Matrix team focused on one of Wellcome's strategic priority areas, particularly Climate & Health.

Working across multidisciplinary teams, you'll collaborate closely with colleagues in Communications, Research, Policy & Partnerships, Wellcome Collection and senior leaders across the organisation. You'll also build relationships with leading creative and cultural organisations, artists, producers, commissioners and partners across the UK and internationally to help deliver Wellcome's engagement and influencing ambitions.

What will I be doing?

As Creative & Cultural Advocacy Lead, you'll develop and lead ambitious programmes that use creativity and culture to build public support and inspire decision-makers to take action on Wellcome's strategic priorities.

You'll oversee programmes from strategy through to delivery; ensuring an effective portfolio of activities, embedding effective delivery, governance, evaluation, project and risk management throughout. You'll lead multidisciplinary teams to design and deliver high-impact creative and cultural advocacy initiatives and events, ensuring they are insight-led, strategically aligned and integrated with wider communications, policy and engagement activity.

You'll build and maintain influential partnerships across the creative and cultural sectors, identifying innovative opportunities to engage audiences and amplify Wellcome's work through compelling cultural experiences and engagement programmes.

You'll also play a key leadership role within the Creative & Cultural Advocacy team by developing people, strengthening ways of working, contributing to team strategy and helping shape the future direction of Wellcome's creative engagement activity.
