Open Position- IsraAID Deputy CEO



IsraAID is an international, non-governmental humanitarian aid organization. Since we were founded in 2001, our teams have worked in emergency and long-term development settings in more than 60 countries around the world. IsraAID responds to emergencies and supports communities affected by crises rebuild their lives, and their futures, together. From hurricanes to refugee crises to global pandemics, we mobilize quickly and collaborate with communities at the deepest level, accompanying the process of becoming self-reliant in the ability to prepare and respond to emergencies and crises and return to adaptive functioning.



We are looking for a Deputy CEO to join our executive leadership

The Deputy CEO will oversee the Senior Management Team, leading effective management methodologies, approving and tracking KPIs, realigning annual workplans and budgets, and creating a cohesive roadmap adhering to governance and compliance standards and to the Organizational strategic plan.



GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

The position combines various key capacities:

  • Strategic senior leadership presence cultivating effective management and impact
  • Senior strategic operational oversight.
  • Senior level risk/ crisis management and issues resolution.

DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Leadership and Planning

  • Lead organizational structure changes, to adhere to the strategic plan
  • Accompany and oversee the development and implementation of SMT workplans
  • Together with senior management and relevant teams, monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, recommending adjustments to meet goals.

Operational Oversight

  • Oversee and lead the development and implementation of IsraAID's operations in light of the organizational strategic plan.
  • Ensure workplans are aligned into cohesive roadmap, based on measurable and tracked KPIs.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations in collaboration with senior management teams.
  • Oversee risk management, including security and safety, in collaboration with relevant teams.

Team Leadership and Capacity Building

  • Supervise and mentor senior managers or team leads, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Promote staff development through training and professional growth opportunities.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration within the organization.

Representation and Advocacy

  • Advocate for the organization's mission and values in various forums.
  • Take part in the development of networks, partnerships and initiatives supporting the organizational operation’s impact and sustainability



POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Must:

  1. MA in Management, Business, leadership, Global Development or equivalent areas
  2. At least 10 years of experience in managing senior teams in complex environments, made of direct and matrix structures
  3. Proven experience in managing multi million dollars budget
  4. Proven experience in leading strategic processes, change management and organizational changes.
  5. Proven experience in leadership of admin ,legal and operational requirements.
  6. Proven experience in working for multi-cultural global organizations.
  7. Commitment to IsraAID’s values: Professionalism, Humanity, collaboration, Flexibility, and Adaptability
  8. Englich and Hebrew- native language
  9. Ability to travel for at least one work week every two months
  10. Full proficiency in MS platforms
  11. A commitment to three years contract based in Israel, with constant presence in IsraAID’s HQ offices.


An Advantage:

  1. Establishment and set up of international operation/NGO/activity
  2. Prior experience in leading a civil society entity/ NGO / Humanitarian activity.
  3. Fluent in Spanish, Arabic, Ukrainian, French
