Purpose of the Role

As a member of the Development team, the Development Analyst, Midwest will play a critical role in the functioning of the Midwest team and Central Development Operations at large. The Development Analyst, Midwest will serve in an administrative and support capacity. Analysts are responsible for providing both project management and administrative support to their team so that team members are able to maximize their time on fundraising activities.

As the Development Analyst, Midwest, you will report directly to the Director, Development Administration.

Core Job Responsibilities

  • Briefing Materials: Draft, edit, and submit error-free briefing materials for external donor meetings.

  • CRM Data Entry: Accurately and promptly enter the regional teams’ data into Salesforce, and construct and format basic reports.

  • Donor Correspondence: Draft meeting requests, thank-you notes, etc. to donors as needed.

  • Central Operations Support and Midwest Team Coordination: Assist the Director of Development Operations in maintaining, improving, or designing new internal department processes as needed, with frontline fundraiser perspectives in mind. Serve as the liaison between the Midwest fundraising team and Central Operations.

  • Meeting Correspondence: Draft meeting agendas and disseminate to the appropriate team members before the meeting.

  • Project Coordination: For select projects or meetings, including support of regional events or Obama Presidential Center donor tours, track next steps and ensure completion.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Project management experience – effectively plans and executes short- and long-term projects.

  • Proactive communication and effective collaboration to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.

  • Exceptional communication – written and verbal.

  • Previous Salesforce or other fundraising database experience is a plus.

  • Previous development or general nonprofit operations experience is a plus.

The salary range for this role is between $51,965 and $64,980.

This is a hybrid role based at the Obama Presidential Center in Jackson Park.
