Common Cause is seeking a Digital Production Assistant to support our digital advocacy and fundraising work. This role is responsible for executing the daily tasks that keep our multi-channel program running—especially email and SMS production and quality assurance.

 

This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience with nonpartisan digital campaigns, A/B testing, and executing digital strategy for a grassroots organization dedicated to upholding the core values of American democracy.

 

This is a part-time role reporting to the Digital Director; this role is remote anywhere within the lower 48 United States, and is expected to work 25 hours per week. This role will start October 1, 2025 and will end December 15, 2025.


Responsibilities

- Support operations of digital fundraising programs, including with production, quality assurance, and scheduling sends

- Proofread, fact-check, produce, and target emails drafted by staff to Common Cause members in Action Network

- Review emails prior to sending for errors to ensure strong user experience for our audience

- Use our systems to send mission-critical emails that raise money and mobilize action on pressing democracy issues

- Use HTML to code and implement tests from a queue maintained by the team and report on results

- Run reports from Action Network and support with data analysis to inform strategy and identify opportunities for innovation and improvement of our tools

- Follow established production workflows in Jira and Google Scripts, as defined by the Senior Manager for Digital Operations

- Respond to supporter questions and comments from email and SMS, or forward to appropriate staff

- Other duties as assigned

  • Familiarity with office productivity tools including Microsoft Office, Slack, and Zoom


The following is required:
  • Ideally you have built and sent emails or other HTML content in systems like Action Network, EveryAction/NGP, Mailchimp, Wordpress, or similar platforms
  • Ideally you are familiar with ActBlue
  • Ideally you have experience with HTML and digital A/B testing
  • Per our nonpartisan policy, Common Cause staff members may not currently be in elected office (or running for office); on the Steering Committee or Finance Committee for any political candidate; or affiliated with the leadership of a political party

  • This position is classified as temporary and therefore not included in the union-represented collective bargaining unit
  • Common Cause is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time; please note that if hired, you will be asked to produce documentation for authorization to work in the US

$35.09 - $44.14 an hour
As this is a part-time and temporary role, the compensation is $35.09 – $44.14/hour.
