Campaign Strategy: Co-design campaign strategy in partnership with the Chief Development Officer. Develop, implement, and oversee progress against the campaign plan (guiding the execution of topics and tactics listed on the next page). Support campaign leadership committees (e.g., cabinet, board) through meeting design, briefing materials, follow-up, and other special communications. Partner with the Chief Development Officer and fundraisers to create donor strategies and giving opportunities tied to campaign priorities; provide support in preparing for transformational campaign gift conversations and high-stakes donor engagements. Oversee campaign tracking and produce reports on campaign activity and progress in partnership with the Foundation’s data management and analytics team. Provide support to the Chief Development Officer and other campaign leaders; anticipate risks, identify opportunities, and help drive decision-making.
Campaign Communications: Work with leadership to build out, document, and periodically refresh the campaign’s big ideas and translate strategic goals into compelling philanthropic opportunities. Create cases for support and other supporting materials for all campaign priorities. Develop a suite of standard campaign collateral, such as vision decks, concept papers, and investment briefs, proposal templates, talking points, updates and reports, and stewardship materials. Collaborate with the communications team and external partners as appropriate.
Project Management: Track progress toward campaign milestones and coordinate regular briefings for Foundation leadership and the Board’s Development Committee.
Collateral Coordination: Direct the development and strategic deployment of personalized proposals, briefings, and campaign-specific stewardship materials.
Data Integration: Leverage CRM analytics to drive campaign performance and pipeline health.
Internal Collaboration: Establish cooperative working relationships with Senior Directors to ensure regional activities align with the broader campaign strategy.

Maintenance of a comprehensive campaign master calendar and activity cadence.
Accurate and timely tracking of fundraising targets and key campaign metrics.
Production of high-quality fundraising collateral and customized donor briefings.
Seamless execution of regional development events and campaign gatherings.
At least 8 - 10 years of professional experience in nonprofit development, specifically within a capital and/or endowment campaign environment.
Superior oral and written communication skills, with a focus on creating compelling donor-facing materials.
Proficiency in working with donor data, analytics, and CRM systems (Salesforce preferred).
Excellent interpersonal skills and high emotional intelligence, with a talent for managing internal stakeholder relationships.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a high degree of accountability to metrics.
The salary range for this role is between $129,675 and $162,070.
This is a remote role, with preference for Chicago-based candidates.
