The Director of Account Planning (internally known as Director of Marketing Strategy) for Strong and Safe Communities plays a pivotal role in defining the strategic foundation behind these marketing campaigns. As the strategic bridge between business leaders and marketing activation teams, this marketing leader will translate organizational priorities into actionable marketing strategies, ensuring all campaigns are grounded in clear objectives, data-driven insight, a coherent theory of change, and measurable outcomes.

How You WIll Contribute- Translate business priorities into actionable marketing strategies and campaign briefs by shaping fundamentals such as marketing objectives, target audiences, value proposition of programs, and measurement plans
- Create investment recommendations to align resources to high-impact opportunities
- Identify cultural insights and emerging opportunities that inform experimentation
- Find new opportunities to test ideas, validate new approaches, and expand how marketing supports organizational goals
- Build learning agendas and collaborate with analytics teams to ensure campaigns generate actionable insights
- Create and maintain strong working relationships across creative, digital, communications, and analytics teams to deliver integrated marketing efforts
What You Will Bring- 10+ years of experience in marketing strategy, brand planning, or brand management
- Experience in agency or integrated communications environments preferred
- Demonstrated ability to translate organizational goals into marketing strategies
- Deep expertise in audience segmentation, positioning, and multi-channel marketing
- Experience working across matrixed organizations and aligning senior stakeholders
- Strong analytical fluency—able to convert insights and data into strategic direction
- Familiarity with nontraditional and influencer-driven marketing (social, podcasting, experiential, etc.) preferred
- Exceptional communication and storytelling skills
- Comfort operating in ambiguity and building from first principles
