At Klaviyo, we believe employee engagement isn’t about perks or parties—it’s a cultural strategy. It’s about unlocking connection, alignment, and performance across a fast-scaling, global organization. We're looking for an Employee Experience Specialist who understands that creating meaningful employee experiences is key to business success—and who sees AI not as a threat, but as a powerful partner.
This role is designed for someone who approaches engagement as both an art and a science. You’ll use AI and People Analytics to spot patterns, personalize experiences, and optimize efforts. But the heart of your work is human: crafting scalable, thoughtful moments that help Klaviyos feel seen, connected, and aligned—whether they’re remote, hybrid, or in one of our global offices.
You won’t be doing this alone. You’ll collaborate closely across the Culture team, including Learning, Development, Talent Development, and Onboarding as well as stakeholders such as Brand, Internal Comms and Marketing, to ensure employee experiences reinforce shared goals—like clarity around career growth, deepening cultural alignment, and improving retention. You’ll also activate leaders at every site and function, making engagement a shared responsibility across the company.
This is a role for a systems thinker with operational excellence, emotional intelligence, and curiosity about how technology can elevate the employee experience—not replace it.
How You’ll Make a Strategic Impact
- Drive cultural alignment and retention by designing initiatives that connect employees to each other, their work, and Klaviyo’s mission in measurable ways.
- Leverage AI as a thought partner - analyzing engagement data, personalizing experiences, and generating insights that inform smarter, faster decisions across programs.
- Activate cultural touchpoints during key company moments (e.g., internal product launches, Black Friday/Cyber Monday, milestones, and values drumbeats) that reinforce purpose and momentum.
- Build repeatable frameworks and toolkits for global site leaders so engagement scales consistently and authentically across regions and teams.
- Partner cross-functionally with the Culture team, Brand, Internal Comms, Office Ops and Marketing to create seamless cultural experiences that start on Day 1 and evolve across the employee lifecycle.
- Use data with intention, collaborating with People Analytics to understand what drives engagement, improve programs, and tell the story of cultural impact to leadership.
- Transform swag into strategy, ensuring it’s not just branded items—but an intentional extension of brand identity, community, and pride.
- Champion inclusivity and access, ensuring remote and hybrid teams experience equal visibility, connection, and cultural touchpoints.
Who You Are
- A strategic operator who understands that engagement fuels performance, culture, and retention—not just morale.
- Fluent in data and AI tools, or eager to learn—comfortable using insights and automation to amplify human-centered strategy.
- Experienced in running impactful programs that reach global, hybrid, and diverse teams with empathy and creativity.
- A collaborative team player who thrives in a cross-functional environment, partnering across HR, L&D, Comms, and leadership.
- Exceptionally organized, able to manage multiple programs and timelines with ease.
- Drivers Wanted! You’re proactive, engaged, and never sit on the sidelines—you take initiative and speak up to drive meaningful impact.
- Skilled in tools like Google Workspace, Monday, Slack, survey platforms, and excited to explore AI platforms (e.g., Gemini, ChatGPT) as part of your workflow.
