About the Position
For decades, the Internet Society has been empowering people from all around the globe to contribute to the development of the Internet, ensuring that it remains open, globally connected, secure and trustworthy. We are trusted by Internet leaders because we helped build and shape the Internet. Our Empowerment Programs have been training, equipping, and supporting Internet Champions from all around the world for more than 10 years. With several programs running in parallel, we now are seeking a well-organized, technologically-savvy, self-motivated individual for the position of Empowerment Program Advisor.
The Empowerment Program Advisor will assist the Internet Society with learning administration, learning platform technical services, in the Empowerment department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Learning Platform & LMS Administration
- Administer and manage the Learning Management System (LMS) across the full course lifecycle, including setup, configuration, launch readiness, maintenance, publishing, unpublishing, archiving, and retirement of courses.
- Manage the LMS back-end and integrated systems, including Docebo, certification tools, and Accredible, ensuring smooth operation and data integrity.
- Conduct regular system checks to monitor performance, identify bugs or technical issues early, and coordinate resolution with internal IT teams and external vendors.
- Maintain the course repository and ensure accurate organization, version control, and lifecycle management of all learning assets.
Course Content & Delivery Support
- Oversee all course content activities, including uploading learning materials, managing SCORM files, supporting bug fixes, and ensuring readiness for delivery.
- Collaborate closely with Instructional Designers and the Learning Design Advisor to ensure content compatibility with platform architecture and technical standards.
- Provide operational and technical support for online, blended, and self-paced learning programs, including learner access, troubleshooting, and virtual learning environments.
- Support learners, tutors, and internal stakeholders throughout course delivery.
Certification, Badging & Quality Assurance
- Administer course certificates and digital badges, including editing, tagging, uploading, and resolving certificate-related issues.
- Support certification processes and ensure learning assets are compliant, auditable, and aligned with organizational quality standards.
Accessibility, Standards & Continuous Improvement
- Monitor and analyze platform and content accessibility, supporting alignment with recognized accessibility standards (including WCAG 2.1 AAA) in collaboration with the Learning Design Advisor.
- Provide recommendations on platform presentation, usability, and overall learning experience, informed by emerging trends and evolving requirements.
- Advise the team on developments and best practices in learning management systems and digital learning technologies.
Data, Reporting & Technical Support
- Provide backend technical support for surveys, the Go-Learn app, and LMS data configurations, working in collaboration with the Data Engineer and relevant platform providers.
- Configure and synchronize data collection points within Docebo and related systems to support monitoring, reporting, and evaluation.
- Support the provision of course and learner data to internal teams and external stakeholders on an on-demand basis, in coordination with the eLearning Delivery Advisor and Data Management functions.
Projects & General Responsibilities
- Take on small-scale technical or learning technology projects as assigned.
- Serve as a first point of contact for learning-related technical support, monitoring and responding to support tickets in a timely manner.
- Contribute to team planning, innovation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Desired Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in LMS administration or a comparable learning technology role.
- Experience working in international and globally distributed environments.
Technical & LMS Expertise
- Demonstrated expertise in LMS administration, including user management, permissions, cohorts, enrollments, progress tracking, and course lifecycle management.
- Strong troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues across LMS platforms, file structures, and integrated systems.
- Experience managing course content, assets, version control, and revision history.
- Ability to configure courses based on instructional design specifications and learner requirements.
- Experience building and managing online assessments, evaluations, certificates, and digital badges.
- Proficiency in LMS reporting, including generating standard and custom reports and analyzing data to inform recommendations.
- Familiarity with Docebo or similar enterprise LMS platforms is an advantage.
Communication & Collaboration
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with instructional designers, vendors, and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Responsive, adaptable, and able to quickly acquire new technical skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work positively in multicultural and multidisciplinary teams.
Language Skills
- Proficiency in at least two languages among English, French, Spanish, or Arabic (three is an added advantage.

Compensation and benefits for this position will be paid in local currency and based on the country and geographic location’s local salary and benefits market data for the position. Exact pay will be based on factors including but not limited to relevant qualifications, experience, geographic location, education, business and organizational needs.
