About the Team

The GSMA M365 Business Applications team is a dedicated group of specialists responsible for our entire M365 ecosystem. We manage multiple M365 and Azure environments, ensuring everything runs smoothly for our 700 staff members and their devices as well as thousands of client users on our Membership platform. The M365 team is part of the wider IT Applications team who manage the GSMA’s core platforms; M365, Salesforce and Workday. The team have specialists in each area ensuring system availability and constant development & innovation are maintained for GSMA’s key processes.

About the Role

In this role, you will take ownership of our device ecosystem by leading the in-flight Windows 11 upgrade process for our Windows corporate devices. This includes deploying and managing our Intune-managed device management build and ensuring a secure and efficient transition for end-users. Your responsibilities will also include developing and implementing a robust macOS device management strategy using our existing platforms. You’ll have expertise in Microsoft Intune and autopilot with proven experience in similar upgrade projects as well as experience in macOS device management tools and best practices. This role provides a valuable opportunity to directly impact our digital-first initiative and ensure a secure and efficient computing environment across GSMA globally.

Your responsibilities:

  • Lead the Windows 11 upgrade for all corporate devices, including upgrades from Windows 10 and new device deployments, using Windows Autopilot and Intune.

  • Develop, maintain and patch Windows 11 Intune build images, ensuring they meet evolving GSMA needs, including timely patch deployments, firmware upgrades, and endpoint security solutions (antivirus, anti-malware).

  • Manage the roll-out of our Windows 11/MacOS upgrade process by scheduling and communicating effectively with end-users, providing clear instructions, technical support and training materials on Windows 11 and macOS features.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the Windows 11 environment and Intune, minimising downtime and ensuring optimal user experience.

  • Collaborate with internal IT teams to align on technical direction, standards and best practices across all GSMA offices.

  • Proactively identify and resolve potential issues through pilot testing of device policy changes and application compatibility testing before widespread deployment.

  • Develop, implement, and manage our macOS device management strategy.

  • Evaluate, select, and implement appropriate tools and technologies for macOS device management (e.g. Jamf / Intune).

  • Build, deploy, and manage macOS device configurations, policies, and software deployments.

  • Provide escalated support to macOS users, addressing complex technical issues.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of device management processes, including documentation, knowledge base articles, and participation in change management.

  • Monitor the health and performance of deployed devices and generate reports on key metrics.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Windows and macOS technologies, security best practices, and industry trends.

About You

  • Proven experience deploying and managing Windows operating systems (Windows 10, Windows 11) in an enterprise environment.

  • Deep knowledge of Microsoft Intune, including Autopilot, policy configuration, application deployment, and device management.

  • Experience with Windows 10 to Windows 11 upgrades, including application compatibility testing and troubleshooting within Intune.

  • Demonstrable understanding of device management principles and best practices, including cloud-based device management and zero-touch provisioning.

  • Proven experience in macOS device management, including MDM solutions (e.g., Jamf, Intune).

  • Scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, Bash) for automation and remediation.

  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal).

  • Hands-on experience with hardware, including laptops, PCs, and associated technologies.

  • Experience repackaging applications for deployment via Intune.

  • Ability to work independently and manage deployment schedules.

  • Ideally Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate
