Fred Rogers Productions is seeking a highly organized and proactive Engagement Project Manager to support the initiatives of our Marketing, Communications & Engagement Department. This full-time contract position will help oversee the planning, organization, and implementation of projects, ensuring that objectives are met on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will excel at juggling multiple priorities, facilitating collaboration, and maintaining meticulous attention to detail while taking a thoughtful and supportive approach to project management.  

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Project management for Community-based Events and Curriculum-based Initiatives

  • Assist in the management of grants awarded to PBS stations for family community events, including coordinating documentation, tracking progress, and ensuring accurate reporting of event details.
  • Oversee the creation and distribution, subject to approvals, of promotional and event-based materials, ensuring consistency and adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Manage costume requests for grant-funded events and monitor related logistics.
  • Identify and help implement improvements to event infrastructure systems to enhance efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Community Engagement to support the development of resource materials for a curriculum-based initiative for children. 
  • Coordinate the grant process, including maintaining contracts, reports, and resource distribution systems.
  • Work with the Director of Community Engagement to create and manage plans to utilize company infrastructure systems for the distribution of curriculum resources.    

Administrative Oversight and Stakeholder Communication

  • Maintain open and clear communication with grant recipients, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and supported throughout the process.
  • File and archive all grant and event-related materials for future use and reference.
  • Update company database records.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Significant project management and/or administrative experience.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, follow established priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communications skills to work effectively with diverse individuals, both internally and externally.
  • Strong attention to detail with strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Enthusiasm for learning and contributing to a team.
  • Demonstrated patience, empathy, flexibility, and kindness.
  • Associate degree or bachelor’s degree.
  • Active listener.
  • Enthusiasm for new ideas, initiative, and strong can-do attitude.
  • Proven ability to work both independently and proactively as a member of a team.
  • Facility with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Basic proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite programs.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

 

Interest in or knowledge of children’s media.
