Duration: This is a fixed-term position, full-time role to cover a period of parental leave. The expected duration of the contract is 9 months, with a projected start date in March/April 2026 and an expected end date of November/December 2026.

Reporting to: Events Manager
Job purpose: The Events Manager will plan, coordinate and deliver a programme of high-quality events that support the IFRS Foundation’s strategic objectives. This role plays a key part in engaging and informing external stakeholders through impactful in-person, hybrid and virtual events.
Team: This role sits within the Communications team and reports to the Events Manager. The role works closely with colleagues across the Foundation, including technical teams, earned revenue, marketing, legal and finance.
Principle accountabilities:
Event planning and delivery
- Plan, coordinate and deliver a range of high-quality events that engage and inform external stakeholders
- Deliver strategic events in support of the IFRS Foundation, IASB, ISSB and Integrated Reporting objectives
- Manage conferences, workshops and webinars across in-person, hybrid and virtual formats, both in-office and at external venues
- Develop clear event proposals and present ideas to internal stakeholders
- Work with external event agencies to ensure events are delivered to agreed standards and contractual terms
- Collaborate with the Earned Revenue team to support and optimise sponsorship activity
- Embed sustainability principles across all aspects of event planning and delivery
- Coordinate closely with technical teams and communications colleagues to manage content and speakers, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines
Event promotion and marketing
- Coordinate event communications, including invitations, mailings and social media, in partnership with the marketing team
- Work with the web team to ensure timely and accurate website updates relating to events
Vendor and supplier management
- Source, manage and maintain relationships with venues, suppliers, contractors and event partners
- Obtain competitive quotes and negotiate contracts for services and products
- Ensure venues and suppliers align with the Foundation’s sustainability objectives
- Arrange site visits where required
- Monitor supplier performance against agreed deliverables and timelines
Registration and stakeholder management
- Monitor event registrations and RSVPs, where required
- Coordinate the issuing of visa invitation letters when requested
- Provide regular registration updates to key internal stakeholders
Budget, legal and financial management
- Ensure events are delivered within agreed budgets
- Liaise with Finance to support timely processing and payment of invoices
- Work with the Legal team to coordinate contract review and approvals
Evaluation and continuous improvement
- Produce clear post-event reports to assess outcomes and return on investment
- Gather and analyse attendee feedback to support continuous improvement and stakeholder satisfaction
Additional requirements
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings in line with event schedules
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally for site visits and on-site event delivery
