The Chan Zuckerberg Initiative was founded in 2015 by Priscilla Chan and Mark Zuckerberg to help solve some of society’s toughest challenges — from curing or preventing disease to improving education and addressing the needs of our local communities. We provide the operational support across our areas of work.
Across our work in Science, Education, and within our communities, we pair technology with grantmaking, impact investing, and collaboration to help accelerate the pace of progress toward our mission. Our Investment team provides the support needed to push this work forward.
The investment team’s goal is to build a world-class investment portfolio to help fund CZI’s ongoing operations over the long-term. The investment program pursues a “manager of managers” approach, scouring the globe to find extraordinary investment organizations that invest across a wide spectrum of styles and asset classes. The team is led by Chief Investment Officer David Lee, and includes three other executive assistants.
We are looking for an Executive Assistant to provide administrative support for two Managing Directors and the broader marketable team. The support will range from scheduling travel and meetings, drafting correspondence, processing expense reports, coordinating internal processes, and organizing team events, among other duties related to investments.
We have a “one team, one portfolio” approach, in which every team member takes ownership for our collective success. Candidates should be comfortable with a fast-paced environment and eager to be part of building our investment organization. They will possess an ability to navigate ambiguity effectively and be collaborative, hungry to learn, nimble and proactive. Applicants must have strong communication skills, incredible attention to detail, must be able to work independently, and always be one step ahead. The person in this role will need to be a masterful problem-solver and an organizational whiz.
The Redwood City, CA base pay range for a new hire in this role is $56.73 - $78.27. New hires are typically hired into the lower portion of the range, enabling employee growth in the range over time. We’re thankful to have an incredible team behind our work. To honor their commitment, we offer a wide range of benefits to support the people who make all we do possible.
