Experience Manager, Places

The Experience Team at Reddit builds and provides inclusive, intentional interactions and workplace design. Everything we build is rooted in supporting our employees (we call them Snoos) by providing opportunities for them to do their best work through innovative workplaces and engagements. This role is part of the Experience team and will manage operations for the New York, Chicago, and Toronto offices, as well as oversee local team members. Our goal is to create a workplace that ensures our Snoos have a first-rate employee experience at Reddit – making their time here every bit as vibrant as the platform we support.

You are the expert in the culture and employees in your local office(s). You are very familiar with working with external vendors. The ideal candidate will have experience working closely with local leadership, HR, IT, and other business leaders for implementation and execution of employee programming, specifically in fast-paced offices. 

This role will require in-person attendance at the New York City office Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities:

• Approach workplace operations strategy from a lens that will eye towards clarity, diversity, international audiences, & accessibility in the offices you support 
• Assign and manage tasks for the local Experience team members (4+) including project/task distribution
• Manage workplace operations, strategic development, and budget execution for Reddit’s (EST) regional offices.
• Support in all aspects of in-person meetings, events, and general Reddit engagements in the offices you support including intake meetings, vendor management, and feedback reports after event completion.
• Ideate, plan, and execute culture-building events within the office and local area for employees
• Support international customization of workplace programs, including employee perks.
• Responsible for creation of new workplace processes and management of the correct implementation.
• Oversee and maintain relationships with landlords, vendors (janitorial, security, reception, indoor plants, etc.) and internal partners such as IT, HR, and local leadership.
• Assist local Experience team with all high-visibility or company-wide projects.
• Maintain and update office documents as needed and ensure items are securely kept, current and accurate - this includes our Reddit Wiki page, expense reports, security policies, etc.
• Position will also include various ad-hoc projects and administrative tasks required to support the business and Experience team throughout the year.

Qualifications: 

• Minimum of 5 years of office coordination, administrative support or similar role; experience within a technology or startup environment strongly preferred 
• Minimum of three years previous experience as a People Leader 
• Previous experience working across a variety of timezones, cultures, and markets 
• A creative approach to your work balanced by a love of operational efficiency, with proven ability to juggle multiple projects and ambiguity.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to operate under tight deadlines and time pressure.
• Ability to solve problems and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding
• Google Suite experience such as Google Slides, Sheets, and Docs
