ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Finance & Operations Associate, Indonesia at Purpose, you will manage and coordinate financial, administrative and operational aspects for our Indonesian team to ensure the successful delivery of projects with our clients/partners. Working jointly with the locals Project Manager and Project Lead(s) - with oversight from Operations Manager in India - you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial operations of our projects and operational matters for the team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
FINANCE & OPERATIONS
Vendor/Contractor Contract Support:
- Review Scope of Works’ payment terms, tax applied, etc. in coordination with the designated POC in Finance and Operations team.
- Collect relevant documentation from vendors, contractors (I.e: W8 form, bank details etc.)
- Execute contracts in Dropbox sign
- Keep track of all the vendors/contractor contracts in Indonesia by keeping Indonesia contracts & payments tracker up-to-date
- File all vendors/contracts agreements
- Flag to Program/Project Managers (PMs) agreements expiration dates where renewal or extension is required.
- Liaise with vendors to ensure they understand contract terms
Payments (Vendor/Contractor):
- Coordinate with contractors/vendors on all matters related to invoicing, ensuring invoices include all the relevant information and they are submitted on time
- Work with the Purpose Finance team for processing via Western Union/Convera
- Keep track of all the vendors/contractor payments in Indonesia by keeping Indonesia contracts & payments tracker up-to-date
- Create expense/advance reports and liaise with the team to ensure they provide receipts and support on project codes etc.
Travel & IT Support:
- Support all travel-related payments and bookings and the purchase of supplies for offline events/meetings.
- Act as point of contact for coordination with the Global IT team for IT set up and procurement of laptops and other related equipment for team members
Management of Credit Card Payments:
- Coordinate with PM and staff members in relation to making payments using Credit cards
- Support and coordinate with the Purpose finance team on the reconciliation of credit card payments
Administration
- Support the PM(s) on the coordination of project events, in particular on logistics
- Other general administrative tasks assigned by PMs
Budget tracking & reporting
- Support finance and PMs on keeping budget trackers up-to-date by inputting timesheets and expenses
- Support finance and PMs on budget reports for funders. Budgeting, reporting, forecasting & data analysis

- Reporting to: Operations Manager
- Engagement type: Fixed Fee, Fixed Term Contract
- Working hours: 40 hours per week
- Duration: 6 months with the possibility of extension
- Preferred location: Preferably in Jakarta or Jogjakarta
- Working Location: Remote
- Language Requirement: Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and English
- Desired Start Date: January/February 2026
ABOUT YOU
We think you will be a successful candidate if you have:
- 3-4 years of experience in finance and office administrative support, executive assistant or a similar role
- Excellent organisation, communication and time management skills
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Proactive attitude and problem-solving spirit
- Familiarity with accounting principles
- Excellent computer literacy
- Proficient with the use of spreadsheets
- Excellent people management skills
