Head, Office of the CPCO

This role combines advisory support with high-level executive coordination to ensure the seamless functioning of the Office of the CPCO. The incumbent will play a pivotal role in managing the CPCO’s office operations, driving strategic priorities, and enabling effective internal and external engagement. As both a trusted advisor and executive partner, this individual ensures organizational alignment, timely execution of high-impact initiatives, and thoughtful management of the CPCO’s time and influence. They will also provide proactive administrative and communications support, enhancing the CPCO’s capacity to lead the People and Culture function.
WAYS YOU CAN CONTRIBUTE
Partner with the CPCO to track and drive progress on strategic initiatives and leadership priorities.
Partner with the Chief P&C Officer (CPCO) to track and drive progress on strategic priorities, leadership commitments, and key P&C initiatives.
Conduct research, synthesize information, and provide insights and recommendations to support the CPCO’s decision-making.
Prepare high-quality briefing materials, talking points, presentations, and recommendations for internal and external engagements.
Provide proactive insights and timely updates on emerging priorities, risks, and matters requiring the CPCO’s attention or intervention.
Support the translation of P&C strategic priorities into coordinated plans and priorities across the function.
Drive alignment and coordination across the P&C Leadership Team, ensuring connectivity across priorities, dependencies, and deliverables.
Coordinate cross-functional efforts on priorities requiring collaboration between P&C and other functions or delivery platforms across the Foundation.
Monitor progress against P&C strategic and operational priorities, identify risks and dependencies, and drive appropriate follow-through and accountability.
Coordinate materials, briefings, and preparation for Executive Committee, Board, P&C Leadership Team, and other executive-level meetings and engagements.
Support the development and dissemination of communications, updates, and key messages from the CPCO’s Office.
Oversee the effective functioning of the CPCO’s Office, ensuring priorities, meetings, engagements, and follow-up actions are effectively coordinated.
Serve as a key liaison between the CPCO and senior internal and external stakeholders, facilitating timely communication, alignment, and follow-through.
Manage sensitive and confidential matters on behalf of the CPCO with sound judgment, discretion, and professionalism.
Lead the planning and delivery of special initiatives and cross-functional projects sponsored by the CPCO.
Support the CPCO in identifying opportunities to strengthen P&C effectiveness, integration, ways of working, and delivery against organizational priorities.
WHO YOU ARE
Bachelor’s degree required
PMI certified
Member of a relevant professional body.
10+ years of progressive experience supporting senior executives, ideally in a complex, matrixed organization.
Experience handling sensitive and confidential matters and engaging effectively with senior leadership, Board-level stakeholders, and external partners.
Proven ability to navigate matrixed environments and align cross-functional teams to strategic goals.
Experience driving strategic planning, execution tracking, and follow-through across a large or complex function.
Ability to contribute to the development of functional strategy, translate strategic direction into priorities and plans, and support effective execution and monitoring.
Advanced use of tools such as Microsoft Office, Asana, SharePoint, and other coordination platforms.
Strong ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives, manage interdependencies, and establish mechanisms for tracking delivery, risks, and accountability.
Ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments, facilitate alignment, and coordinate effectively across functions and leadership teams.
Demonstrates sound judgment, emotional intelligence, and discretion.
Exceptional communication and relationship management skills.
