InsideTrack seeks a dynamic and results-oriented individual to join our team in the position of Associate Vice President, Partner Success. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Partner Success, you will play a pivotal role in our growth efforts by helping partners adopt our coaching and training programs for post-secondary education and career advancement initiatives. The successful candidate must have a genuine interest in the mission of InsideTrack and possess a strategic mindset, tactical execution abilities, strong communication skills, and a proven track record in selling into post-secondary education.


Candidates are expected to have deep knowledge of the postsecondary education and career advancement landscape and strong connections with institutional and industry leaders, using both to increase our partnerships across your region. 


The selected candidate must be self-motivated and able to work independently while working within a team-based environment. Expectations are to close $1.5M+ in new partnerships in the first twelve months, and $3M+ annually thereafter.


This role will provide thought leadership internally and externally, including speaking at conferences, publishing opinion pieces and participating in conversations with other higher ed leaders. You’ll be a strong team player, leveraging your expertise and that of those around you. You’ll frequently work in a collaborative approach and will be willing to roll up your sleeves to ensure success.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Working collectively with other members of the Partner Success Team and supporting teams to achieve bookings and revenue objectives across the full partner lifecycle, through the acquisition of new partnerships at post-secondary institutions.
  • Establish and maintain consultative selling relationships with Presidents, Provosts, Deans, Vice Presidents, and Director-level executives at colleges and universities, as well as senior decision-makers in other education and training-focused organizations.
  • Manage relevant aspects of the sales process, including responses to information requests, forecasts, prospect presentations, proposals, negotiations, and contracting.
  • Provide high-level strategic consultation to leaders at partner institutions on best practices in areas including, but not limited to, student success and change management.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of trends in higher ed and share, as appropriate, with prospects, existing partners, and internal colleagues.
  • Participate in opportunity generation activities, including outbound calls, networking events, conferences, presentations, webinars, and supporting marketing asset development.
  • Collaborate with internal solutions, finance, operations and legal teams to structure, negotiate and execute partner proposals and contracts that conform to InsideTrack standards.
  • Support the development of healthy partner relationships by introducing senior InsideTrack leaders, Program Area team members and others to key prospect and partner contacts as part of the partner lifecycle.
  • Collaborate, communicate, and be a team player while taking ownership of the opportunities you lead.


QUALIFICATIONS: an ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
  • Proven experience in building relationships with senior leaders and selling solutions of $250k+ to higher education institutions.
  • Experience with post-secondary education and career pathways and a passion for advancing educational and career opportunities.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to articulate complex issues so they are clearly understood by a variety of audiences.
  • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving abilities, and time management skills, with significant experience in concept creation and proposal development.
  • A firm commitment to equity in the workplace and the achievement of equitable outcomes for minoritized students/individuals.
  • An ability to operate both independently and as a member of a high-functioning team, productively engaging with others at varying levels of seniority within and outside of the organization.


EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s Degree required 
  • Master’s Degree preferred, or equivalent work experience


PREFERENCES:
  • Experience working for or with a foundation/philanthropic organization that focuses on post-secondary education and career development. Experience with and knowledge of the higher education landscape and workforce development is a plus.

$120,000 - $130,000 a year
Plus an annual bonus (not included in the range stated above).

The pay range listed is based on national compensation benchmark data and may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge, variations in cost of labor, and in some cases, geographic location.  The exact job offer will be determined based on several factors such as the candidate’s individual skills, qualifications and experience relative to the requirements of the role.  The range displayed with the job posting represents the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across the U.S.  

The organization also reviews and considers internal equity (current employee salary) when hiring new employees to the organization.  The range is the expected starting base salary for someone hired into this position with room to grow professionally, including increased earning potential beyond the starting pay range.  Beyond a new hire’s base salary, InsideTrack also offers all full-time employees a comprehensive employee benefit package.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: The position requires domestic travel approximately 25% of the time to attend sales presentations, conferences and internal and external business meetings that include overnight travel. At times, travel demands may be greater, including in the first year.


TYPICAL PHYSICAL & MENTAL DEMANDS:  Requires prolonged sitting with some bending, stooping and stretching; eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard and other office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare and communicate appropriate reports and presentations. Also requires moderate to intense concentration due to complexity and/or need to meet deadlines, and flexibility to readily adapt to a changing environment.


Location: Remote - with preference given to locations in the midwest and southeast, including AL, AR, FL, IA, NE, KS, LA, MO, MS, OK, & TX
