Job Description

Inside the TED organization, we create the TED Talks video series, the globe-spanning TED Fellows program, the TED-Ed movement to support learners of all ages, and many more idea-driven initiatives. And it's all powered by our world-class technology.

We are looking for an IT Associate who will support day-to-day IT and AV needs for TED staff. You’ll work closely with the IT team to resolve tickets, assist with setup, and ensure that our New York office runs smoothly. This is a hands-on role with lots of learning opportunities for someone early in their IT career.

This position is based in our office in New York, NY.

Qualifications

What will you do?

Partner with the IT team (in New York & Vancouver) to provide daily IT and AV support for TED staff.

Assist with setup and maintenance of video conferencing systems, touch panels, TVs, and related equipment.

Troubleshoot basic hardware and software issues via ticketing system, Slack, and in-person support.

Help with setup and deployment of laptops, monitors, phones, and other equipment for new and existing employees.

Perform onboardings and offboardings for new and departing employees on a wide variety of software platforms and hardware.

Install software, patches, and updates under the guidance of senior team members.

Maintain and update IT documentation (how-to guides, FAQs, and troubleshooting tips).

Contribute to IT projects and take on additional responsibilities as you grow into the role.

Additional Information

SALARY RANGE: $60,000 - $75,000

The candidate will be required to work U.S. East Coast hours. This position is based in TED’s Manhattan office.
