The International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF), founded in 1926, is the world-governing body of the sport of table tennis with 227 member Associations in the world. The ITTF supervises the staging of World Championships annually, and several other world title events. Around 120 international tournaments are sanctioned by the ITTF yearly. Its main function is to govern and develop the sport for the benefit of over thirty million competitive players in all parts of the world.
Table Tennis is an Olympic and Paralympic sport and is in the programme of the Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games as well as of all Multisport Games.
The ITTF is seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on ITTF IT Strategy & Operations Manager who has good business acumen and will be responsible for the spectrum of IT operational tasks and projects under the IT department.
LOCATION: The position will be based in the ITTF Asia-Pacific office in Singapore.
MANAGER: The ITTF IT Strategy & Operations Manager will report to the ITTF Chief Operations Officer.
Key Responsibilities
Vendor & Partnership Management
• Act as the primary point of contact for all third-party IT solution providers.
• Negotiate contracts, manage Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and conduct
regular performance reviews.
• Ensure all external tools and software are integrated seamlessly into the
Federation workflow.
Project & Lifecycle Management
• Oversee the full lifecycle of IT projects—from initial discovery and procurement
to implementation and staQ training.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Modernize legacy systems and lead migrations to more eQicient, cloud-based, or automated solutions.
Event & Activity IT Leadership
• Take full ownership of IT requirements for Federation events, conferences, and
activations (e.g., networking, AV, live-streaming, on-site hardware).
• Provide technical "on-the-ground" support and planning to ensure zero
downtime during critical business activities.
Budgeting & Strategic Planning
• Develop and manage the annual IT budget, ensuring maximum ROI on tech
spending.
• Create a 1–3 year IT roadmap that aligns with the company’s growth targets and digital transformation goals.
• Advise the executive team on emerging technologies that could provide a
competitive advantage.
Requirements / Qualifications
• Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure
(AWS/Azure), cybersecurity protocols, CRM/ERP systems, and network
architecture.
• Project Management: Proven experience using frameworks like Agile or PMP to lead complex technical rollouts.
• Vendor Relations: A track record of managing high-value contracts and holding vendors accountable.
• Business Acumen: Ability to translate "tech-speak" into business value for
stakeholders.
• Adaptability: Comfortable managing the technical chaos of live events and high-pressure deadlines.
• Flexibility Working Hours: Must be willing to work weekends or extended hours during overseas events and critical operational periods.
• Travelling Requirements: Overseas travel is required to support, oversee, and
manage international events and operational deployments.
