The Trade and Investment team brings together leading global companies with policymakers and civil society from around the world. It fosters structured dialogue on challenges and opportunities for resilient, sustainable, and inclusive trade and works through global, regional, and national initiatives to drive impactful reform.

Why we are recruiting

In today’s fastmoving economic landscape, the Trade and Investment team seeks to drive multistakeholder dialogue and research and provide actionable insights for public and private sector actors.

The candidate will manage and contribute to initiatives covering trade and industrial policy, geoeconomics and societal outcomes. The role will involve building and managing communities, producing original research, communicating insights in creative, visual formats, and scoping new areas of work with stakeholders and donors.

Reporting lines and interactions

This position will sit in the Forum’s Centre for Regions, Trade and Geopolitics and report to the Policy Lead, International Trade and Investment.

The individual in this role will interact with teams within CRTG, as well as with teams across the Forum and with external stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities

  • Build and manage project communities

  • Support the Global Future Council on Trade and Investment

  • Contribute to research, conducting stakeholder interviews and writing policy papers and briefing notes

  • Communicate insights with senior audiences as well as the broader public through visuals, blogs, podcasts, videos and social media engagement

  • Organize workshops and sessions at World Economic Forum and external events

  • Help scope new areas of work with stakeholders, partners and funders and contribute to fundraising efforts

  • Monitor developments in the areas of trade, industrial policy and geoeconomics to keep project outputs and activities relevant and useful

Qualifications and Skills

  • A Master’s degree in economics, law, public policy, international relations or a related field, with interest and specialization in trade, geoeconomics and data analysis.

  • 8+ years of relevant professional experience related to policy research and writing or project, community or event management.

  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
