The World Economic Forum, committed to improving the state of the world, is the international organization for public-private cooperation. The Forum engages the foremost political, business and other leaders of society to shape global, regional and industry agendas.

  • Trade Governance and Economic Security

  • Services, Investment and Sustainability

  • Re-Engineering Trade and FDI

Why we are recruiting

Global trade and investment uncertainty has become a priority concern for global business and policymakers. Major economies have stepped back from the governance systems and economic consensus that have provided stability in recent decades. A major underlying driver of political shifts has been concern that trade has not delivered for many workers and communities. This concern is exacerbated in a time of geopolitical tension, environmental and digital transitions.

Uncertainty around trade and industrial policies has been a brake on business investment, undermining the economic security objectives of governments.

The Lead, Trade, Industrial Policy and Economic Security Insights will support a community and program of work to increase understanding of developments in these areas and convene constructive dialogue in support of resilient and equitable global trade.
