  1. Background

IsraAID ensures effective humanitarian access and program implementation in complex operational environments. This position will support our efforts in addressing bureaucratic and logistical challenges while facilitating coordination and communication with key stakeholders. The Logistics Manager will lead the Logistics Team to develop partnerships and ensure timely and effective delivery of humanitarian aid.

  1. Objective of the Role

The primary goal of this role is to ensure seamless and open humanitarian supply chains by cultivating partnerships and by managing logistics efforts at scale and overseeing implementation activities.


  1. Responsibilities




  1. Managment of the Logistics Team
    1. Manage the logistics team daily activities and implementation and coordinate with other teams and relevant HQ departments.
    2. Development of a logistics workplan.
  • Continuously map and troubleshoot viable humanitarian access routes, addressing logistical and bureaucratic bottlenecks.

 

  1. Forming & Translating Partnerships into Logistics Collaborations
    1. Establish and maintain strong relationships with humanitarian partners, local authorities, and suppliers to develop effective and reliable supply routes to affected communities.
    2. Lead IsraAID’s humanitarian supply chain by working closely with external stakeholders, including INGOs, government agencies, and private sector actors, to coordinate and optimize logistics support for humanitarian operations.
  • Support the development of collaborative logistics strategies and partnerships to enhance operational efficiency in complex humanitarian settings.
  1. Lead the creation and execution of logistics-related agreements, including the definition of budgets, deliverables, and reporting frameworks, ensuring clarity, feasibility, and full compliance with donor and organizational policies.
  2. Collaborate with partners and the Programs Officer to ensure that distribution of data is accurate, up to date, and readily available for analysis, reporting, and decision-making.
  3. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines for logistics operations, including documentation, reporting, and audit requirements, together with the Compliance and Finance teams.

 


  1. Manage IsraAID’s supply chain operations
    1. Lead local and international Procurement Procedures and processes (including CQCs, Tenders, etc), in collaboration with the Compliance and Finance teams.
    2. Oversee supplier relations, transpiration and storage operations in Israel




  1. Representation
    1. Represent IsraAID in the Logistics Cluster and participate in its meetings.
    2. Have a thorough understanding of IsraAID’s global strategy and regional context.
  • Act as an advocate for IsraAID’s humanitarian action locally and globally and represent the organization in front of stakeholders as required.

  1. Additional activities: 
    1. Support the mission team with additional tasks as necessary including but not limited to: Program development, monitoring of program implementation, compliance, position paper development, coordination of special events, participation in strategic discussions. 
    2. Assist in the coordination and implementation of partner and donor visits as required.

  2. Requirements



  1. BA in NGO management, Operations management, international development, emergency management, or other relevant fields
  2. Minimum 3 years' experience in logistics and admin systems management
  3. Minimum of 2 year experience of working in humanitarian or development settings internationally or regionally.
  4. Proven experience in managing diverse teams
  5. Solid risk analysis capabilities
  6. Knowledge and experience of emergency management
  7. Demonstrated organizational skills; Able to consistently meet tight deadlines;
