How You’ll Contribute

The Communications Division uses creative and strategic tools to further the mission of the National Geographic Society (NGS), while maintaining our place as one of the world’s most trusted nonprofit organizations and global brands. The team’s creative minds develop and execute mission-driven, on-brand and strategic communications, marketing, creative and impact media for NGS and amplify this content on our own channels, across NG/Disney platforms and through external partners and earned media.

Reporting to the Director of Internal Communications, the Manager, Internal Communications will serve in a hybrid writer/communications role focused on engaging frontline employees who interact directly with guests and often work shift hours. This position supports the Campus & Experiences team in ensuring all Museum of Exploration (MOE) staff — regardless of shift or location — feel informed, supported, and connected to the National Geographic Society’s mission by tailoring communications that resonates with staff across varying roles, ensuring all internal messaging aligns with our mission, and streamlining internal communications so that staff receives accurate information.

A key focus of the role will be developing timely, accessible, and inclusive communications that reach and resonate with the MOE’s deskless and frontline teams, bringing the Society’s mission to life through our physical spaces — with the new MOE at the center of this effort.
