Job Description
The Partner Solution Engineering Manager will have deep expertise in LinkedIn’s API products and technical solutions. You will manage a global team of solution engineers and work closely with LinkedIn’s business development, product & engineering teams at LinkedIn to scale our enterprise partner offerings for our mutual customers. You will develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders to launch new API products and help enterprise partners integrate. You will drive adoption of LI’s API products in the talent marketplace by managing a portfolio of high touch enterprise partners or lead product adoption across a broad base. You will be responsible for strategic planning and performance management. You should understand feature gaps in API, product, or partner offering and build solutions to address gaps and drive client success. Your team should understand and document the enterprise partner’s technical implementation nuances. Facilitate enterprise partners with onboarding, provide technical development and coding support, and provide guidance to partners during beta and pre-launch activities. You should also bring innovation with respect to automating partner onboarding experience.

Responsibilities:
• You will manage the performance and career development of a team of Solutions engineers, and own significant parts of scaling and adoption for LinkedIn API products.
• You will participate with senior management in developing a long-term integration partnership & platform roadmap.
• You will be a role model and professional coach for solutions engineers with a strong bias for action and focus on craftsmanship.
• You will work with peers across teams to support and leverage a shared integration platform feature set.
• You will represent the voice of partners and lastly influence leadership to help understand industry trends & partner platforms.
• You will ensure high quality monitoring of data and integration quality by operationalizing processes to detect abusive partners and revoke access.
• You will provide guidance & execution of partner onboarding, development sandbox & certification automation areas.
• You will improve adoption scale & operation efficiency of partner engagements
• You will showcase strong leadership in release management
• You will provide high-quality solution consultation on industry standards for partner onboarding & support experience
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
• BA/BS Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• 1+ year(s) of management experience or 1+ year(s) of staff level engineering experience with management training
• 5+ years of industry experience in software design, development, and large-scale software engineering
• Experience programming in object-oriented and/or functional programming languages (like Java/Python/C/C++/Scala/etc.)
• Experience in creation and execution of API product, platform & partner strategy and roadmap
Preferred Qualifications:
• MS or PhD in Computer Science or related technical discipline
• 2+ years of hands-on software engineering/technical management and people management experience
• 7+ years industry experience in software design, development, and algorithm related solutions.
• 5+ years programming experience in languages such as Java, C/C++, C#, Python, Go, etc.
• Actively coached, mentored and grew team members in their careers
• Released several large-scale API products with dependencies across multiple teams spread out geographically.
• Exceptional written, presentation, and oral communication skills, with the ability to create and present solutions to partners.
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS
• Strong understanding of Partnerships and Business Development
• Passion for creating and sharing developer-focused content online or at events.
• Deep understanding of developer ecosystems and developer communities
• Experience working with legal and policy teams while developing software solutions
• Experience integrating enterprise services, either as a consumer or provider
• Experience managing external partners/customers and collaborating with product, business development, and engineering teams.
• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Previous experience in talent management & hiring integrations background is a big plus
• Good understanding of System Design & Application Development, Distributed Systems,
• Experience with HTTP & REST APIs, API Gateway, and API Security (e.g., OAuth2, OpenID Connect
• Understanding of Developer Support & Tooling (Technical Documentation, Postman, SDKs, Operational Support)
