Manager, Rate Card Program:

Reporting to the Head of Rate Card Program, the Manager - Rate Card Program, collaborates with Technical, Logistics, and various Functional Areas in the planning and operational delivery of LA28’s Rate Card Program to provide essential products and services to multiple Olympic and Paralympic stakeholders.  

This role creates the Rate Card Catalog, builds pricing and process workflows, champions inventory planning, procurement coordination, and order fulfillment processes to ensure quality customer delivery of products and services.  The Manager supports the Rate Card ecommerce platform and payment operations while managing the Games time Rate Card Team operational functions at various venues, ensuring exceptional customer service.  The position sits within the Finance area and works cross functionally with Procurement, Technology, Logistics, and Venue teams to ensure seamless service from order through fulfillment and return. 

Key Responsibilities:

Catalog Development and Pricing 

  • Lead development and ongoing creation of the Rate Card Catalog (intent to rent, goods, and services), gathering detailed requirements across LA28 functional areas. 
  • Establish pricing and secure review/approval from internal and external stakeholders before publication; ensure service levels and ordering workflows are clearly defined.  
  • Align catalog decisions with LA28’s sustainability, accessibility, and legacy goals.  

Stakeholder Engagement and Sales Enablement 

  • Serve as a point of contact for Rate Card inquiries across designated Functional Areas, Sponsors, and other stakeholders; ensure transparency and compliance with pricing and terms.  
  • Facilitate the sales/ordering process, partnering closely with Finance and Venue teams to anticipate demand and resolve issues proactively.  

Operational Fulfillment 

  • Define detailed inventory requirements; collaborate with Procurement to acquire assets in the right quantities and timing across locations.  
  • Manages the end-to-end order lifecycle: order entry, inventory tracking, invoicing and delivery, and post Games returns; coordinate readiness and issue resolution with Logistics, suppliers, and venue leads.  

Platform and Systems Management 

  • Support the design, development, testing, and launch of the Rate Card ecommerce portal; contribute requirements, UAT, and operational playbooks.  
  • Test, launch and operate payment processes, and partner with Finance to ensure daily reconciliation and resolution of outstanding balances.

Team Leadership

  • Supervise staff and volunteers for Rate Card operations during test events and Games time; oversee check-in/checkout and help desk processes to deliver high-quality service.  

Reporting and Analytics 

  • Monitor sales performance, inventory utilization, and KPIs; produce regular leadership reports and contribute to post Games debriefs and legacy planning.  

Risk Management and Integration 

  • Maintain risk registers and contingency plans; ensure integration with interdependent Technology and Logistics programs, and the overall operational plan.  

Stakeholder Collaboration 

  • Work closely with Finance, Procurement, Technology, Logistics, and venue teams to ensure Rate Card deliverables are seamlessly integrated into overall Games operations.  

Background & Requirements:

  • Minimum 5+ years in ecommerce/rate card management, operations, procurement, and logistics within large scale events; experience building SOPs and operational plans preferred.  
  • Proven ability to manage customer/stakeholder relationships, build teams, and navigate high visibility, time-critical operations.  
  • Hands-on experience with ecommerce portals, inventory/order management systems, and payment operations; data driven reporting and continuous improvement mindset.  
  • Megaevent (Olympic/Paralympic or comparable) experience is highly desirable.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions 

  • Onsite role based in Los Angeles, CA; majority of work in an open office setting with frequent venue travel for inspections, testing, and live operations.  
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends; extended and shift-based hours during test events and Games time.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Technology, or related field or equivalent work experience; project management/logistics/Agile/IT service delivery certifications are a plus.

The annual base salary range for this position is $88,000.00 - $115,000.00. The pay scale provided is the range that LA28 reasonably expects to pay as starting base compensation for this role. All LA28 compensation remains subject to final determination based on individual candidate qualifications, experience, or other reasonable criteria consistent with LA28’s operational business needs and applicable law.
