About Us:

Good Business Lab is an independent, non-profit labor innovation company. We use rigorous academic research to prove that worker well-being programs have business impacts. We develop market-ready, scalable interventions that benefit both workers and businesses. Our goal is to disrupt the traditional notion of business and show that worker well-being can be a good business practice.


The founders of the lab are Ach Adhvaryu - Professor of Economics and Director of 21st Century India Center at the School of Global Policy and Strategy, UC San Diego (www.achadhvaryu.com), Anant Ahuja-head of Organization Development at Shahi Exports Pvt. Ltd., and Anant Nyshadham- Assistant Professor of Business Economics and Public Policy at the University of Michigan (www.anantnyshadham.com).


Role: Marketing Communications (MarComm) Intern

Location: Hybrid/Bangalore

Position Type: Full Time Internship

Contract Duration: 2 months

Remuneration: INR 15000 per month

We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic Marketing Communications Intern to support our branding, content, and media efforts. This role is ideal for someone with a media background who is eager to gain hands-on experience in photography, videography and basic video editing. The intern will work closely with the communications team to strengthen GBL’s visual presence and maintain organized media documentation.

What will you do (areas that will play to your strength and all the responsibilities we will trust you with):

  • Assist in photography and videography for events, campaigns, and organizational communications.
  • Support basic video editing for social media, website, and presentations.
  • Maintain and organize archival records of photos, videos, and communication materials.
  • Assist in drafting captions, short copies, and internal communication content.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to understand communication requirements and deliver creatives accordingly.
  • Work with the team to create newsletter design and content.
  • Assist in maintaining website, social media, and emailer metrics.


Who are you? Ideally, you have (The areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role):

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Media, Mass Communication, Journalism, Film, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of video editing tools.
  • Proficiency in Canva
  • Basic understanding of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator is a plus.
  • Interest in photography and videography.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage timelines.
  • Prior work experience is not required.
