Job Title: Marketing Data Analytics Intern (Summer Internship) 

 
Position Summary: 
The Michael J. Fox Foundation (“the Foundation”) is seeking an intern within our MarComms business unit.  Reporting to the VP, Head of Data & Analytics, this intern will support the Marketing Communications data and analytics team in turning data into insights that inform digital marketing, audience engagement, and content strategies. Working closely with the VP, Head of Data & Analytics, as well as analysts and data scientists, the intern will gain hands-on experience with marketing data, reporting, and performance analysis across channels. This role is designed for a curious, motivated student interested in marketing analytics, data storytelling, and how data and insights support mission-driven marketing strategies and audience engagement 

 
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:  

Analytics & Insights Support 

  • Assist with analyzing marketing and engagement data across web, email, social, and multimedia channels 
  • Support the creation of summaries and insights related to campaign and audience performance 
  • Help identify trends, patterns, and questions worth deeper exploration 
  • Explore opportunities to leverage AI tools for automating insights, enhancing reporting, and improving marketing decision‑making 


Reporting & Visualization 

  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of dashboards and recurring reports 
  • Support data quality checks and basic data validation 
  • Help translate data findings into clear, easy-to-understand visuals or written summaries 


Cross-Functional Collaboration 

  • Work alongside analysts, data scientists, and other teams on shared projects 
  • Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions to understand how analytics supports marketing strategy and creative decision-making 


Learning & Project Work 

  • Support ad hoc analysis and special projects aligned with current marketing priorities 
  • Build foundational skills in marketing analytics tools, measurement, and best practices 
  • Gain exposure to real-world applications of data in a nonprofit, mission-driven environment 


Qualifications and Skills:  

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in marketing, data analytics, data science, business, communications, or a related field 
  • Academic coursework, internships, or projects involving data analysis, marketing, and leveraging AI technologies are a plus 
  • Strong curiosity and interest in data, marketing, and analytics 
  • Basic knowledge/comfort working with data (e.g., spreadsheets, visualizations, databases) 
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn 
  • Collaborative mindset and openness to feedback 

 
Salary and Benefits: 

The hourly range for this position is:  

  • Undergraduate Students: $18-$20/hour 
  • Graduate Students: $20-$22/hour
