The Verge is seeking a Marketing & Growth Strategist to drive growth for its paid subscription and podcast portfolio. They will be accountable for accelerating subscriber acquisition, registered user growth, and long-term audience loyalty. And they will play a critical part in expanding the reach, engagement, and cultural impact of the Verge podcasts — translating listening into deeper relationships with our audience through thoughtful, high-impact marketing campaigns. We are seeking someone highly experimental, with a test-and-learn mindset and a strong sense of curiosity and creativity — comfortable launching quickly, iterating based on data, and continuously testing new approaches to drive measurable growth.
This role sits at the center of audience growth and brand storytelling, working closely with editorial leadership, audio, audience development, product, and revenue. The ideal candidate is equal parts strategic marketer, persuasive communicator, and savvy connector — someone who understands how to plan and execute campaigns, amplify moments across channels, and turn audience attention into measurable growth.
