About the Team

Open Gateway was an initiative launched by the GSMA in 2024 designed to drive and standardise network API adoption within the telecoms industry and enable enterprise businesses to use network APIs to solve real-world business problems. The programme has grown over the past 2 years to the point that 80% of networks, 191 mobile network operators and 58 channel partners are participating in the programme. This part of the programme is known as “supply side” and focuses on supporting mobile network operators to enable or expose their network APIs to third party aggregators, channel partners and enterprises to use in commercial services or applications.

GSMA Fusion was launched in the summer of 2024 and is designed as the GSMA’s “Industry focused” designed to understand the needs or requirements of key industries e.g. Fintech & Commerce, Automotive, Aviation, Media etc. and bring those organisations and requirement to the mobile operators to facilitate adoption and capture best-practice, insights and innovation.

About the role

We are seeking a Marketing Manager, with a strong digital marketing focus, to join the GSMA Fusion & Open Gateway team, driving the adoption and awareness of these transformative programmes within the global mobile ecosystem. The successful candidate will be a digital native, passionate about leveraging technology and innovation - including AI tools - to enhance marketing performance.

You will be responsible for developing and executing digital marketing strategies that showcase the value and opportunities of Fusion and Open Gateway, engaging key stakeholders across telcos, technology providers, and adjacent industries. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable expertise in digital marketing, with experience in website design and SEO, email marketing, social media, blog content creation, and event management. Familiarity with the telecommunications or technology sector is highly desirable.

This role requires close collaboration with internal teams and external partners, including the CTO office, Membership, Industry Services, Brand & Content, PR, Legal, Finance, and GSMA’s events business. Occasional international travel may be required.
