Emma Sargeant, Senior Marketing Manager, Networks
About the Role
We are seeking a Marketing Manager to join the GSMA Networks team to help accelerate the adoption and awareness of Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN) and Private Networks within our GSMA 5G Futures Community.
NTN integrates with 5G standards from 3GPP to provide seamless global reach, while private networks ensure secure, high-performance solutions for enterprises. Industries like manufacturing, aviation, and emergency services all rely on these networks for automation, asset tracking, and critical communications.
In this role, you will be required to develop compelling marketing plans, create high-impact content, and engage key internal and external stakeholders—including enterprises, telcos, and technology providers. You will lead on campaigns that highlight the value and opportunities these networks offer in enabling next-generation connectivity within key vertical industries.
If you have an understanding of the 5G ecosystem, a passion for building a community, and can translate complex technologies into business opportunities, we want to hear from you!
Key responsibilities:
1. Plan and deliver marketing activities
a. In collaboration with the Senior Marketing Manager, you will agree and deliver marketing plans that complement the broader objectives of the 5G Futures Community.
b. Delivery of marketing activities associated with the technology areas including internal and external messaging and performance reporting.
c. Manage associated external collaborative groups including operators, ecosystem stakeholders and sponsors.
d. Work with the project team to support the delivery of the annual project objectives within the overall Technology plan through the marketing plan and associated budget.
2. Support the overall development and improvement of the GSMA Networks webpage
a. Enhance navigation and overall SEO of the Networks Hub.
b. Create a dedicated subsection on the GSMA Networks site for NTN and private networks, offering clear overviews, use cases, and benefits of these technologies.
c. Collaborate with stakeholders to design interactive content (e.g. infographics, animations) that simplifies complex ideas for various audiences.
3. Content creation & thought leadership:
a. Produce high-quality blog posts, whitepapers, and case studies showcasing real-world applications and success stories of NTN and private networks across industries (e.g., aviation, manufacturing, logistics).
b. Leverage existing marketing thought leadership with your go-to-market strategies.
c. Lead interviews with key industry experts to share insights, trends, and future predictions related to NTN and private networks.
d. Regularly update content to reflect the latest industry developments and GSMA reports.
e. Produce video content such as explainers and interviews that demystify NTN and private network technologies and demonstrate their business value.
4. Plan and deliver virtual and in-person events
a. Curate and manage a bi-monthly webinar series, collaborating with technical and industry experts to discuss emerging NTN and private network trends.
b. Plan and deliver summits, seminars and round tables at GSMA’s industry events.
c. Curate demos for GSMA exhibition booths.
5. Develop and maintain community engagement:
