The Operations Lead plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day functioning of Venture for Canada’s operations. This role supports cross-functional teams by improving processes, coordinating logistics, maintaining HR systems, and strengthening internal infrastructure in a remote-first environment.


Reporting to the Senior Manager, People Operations, the Operations Lead is highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive. They thrive in dynamic environments, enjoy solving problems, and take pride in creating structure that enables others to do their best work.


Role Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and support day-to-day HR processes; including HRIS management and benefits administration,
  • Support onboarding and offboarding logistics in collaboration with People Operations,
  • Support CEO in coordination of special projects, external communications, and administrative support,
  • Support the recruitment process, including candidate scheduling, ATS administration, and some interviews,
  • Coordinate vendors, subscriptions, and operational tools,
  • Support with Board administration, including scheduling and administrative logistics,
  • Support the maintenance of internal process guides,
  • Support employee experience initiatives,
  • Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and support implementation of new systems,
  • Support the day-to-day in-person Toronto office administration,
  • Provide general administrative and operational support to leadership as needed.

Role Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of experience in operations, administration, office coordination, or a related field,
  • Experience working in a remote or hybrid work environment,
  • Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through,
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills,
  • Proactive problem-solver who takes initiative,
  • Strong time management and self-direction in a remote setting,
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills,
  • Experience coordinating logistics and vendors,
  • Bilingualism in French/English is an asset,
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace/Gmail, HubSpot, Slack, Zoom, and the Windows operating system are assets,
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
